The tax form I received from TBK for the bonus is 1099-MISC instead of 1099-INT. Weird. Has anyone else got the same?

I received three 1099-INT for one Amex Business Checking account, a 1099-INT downloaded from online banking showing $17, a 1099-INT received in mail showing $600, and a 1099-INT (corrected) in mail showing $600 but the recipient on it was my business while the original 1099 was addressed to my name. I think the $600 was for bonus points and the $17 was for interest.

My question is, when I file tax, should I enter all three forms, or only the $17 form and the $600 corrected form?

The corrected $600 1099 replaces the original $600 1099, so all you need to file is the $600 corrected and the $17.

I filed a tax extension and I was just gathering my 1099s. I didn’t find one from Sunflower Bank. Did they issue 1099 for 2023?

Hey Everyone! Did any of you got a 1099 from NYCB/ Flagstar for last year’s bonus? I closed my account and can’t find out. Calling them has been a pain

Northwest Bank: no tax forms generated for 2023 bonus according to CS.

Oanda does not generate tax forms based on trading activities, according to CS:

“The 1099-INT (US) is a tax form related to interest income, and is required to report interest earned on your account balance. The 1042-S tax form is also related to interest income, and applies only to clients with OANDA Corporation (U.S division) who live outside of the US. You do not need to send these forms to the IRS (US tax authority). Please keep them for the filing of your personal income tax return and provide them to your accountant, if applicable.
These forms are used for balance interest only and do not apply to trade financing charges (trade interest) or trading profit/loss.
Starting in 2023, OANDA has been paying interest on unused margin. If you have earned more than US $600 in interest, you’ll receive the 1099-INT/1042-S form by email”

Anyway to find these online? I moved February 1st and haven’t received anything from Chase or Amex in the mail, I assume due to the move. I had quite a bit of referral bonuses at both of them so I am expecting something. The online tax section of the website isn’t showing me anything either.

Yes, got it for going over 600. That last referral which sent it past 600 actually is costing 200% in tax. Maddening.

Re: #6 – Chase sent out a corrected 1099-MISC (dated 18 Mar, 24 for me) showing Marriott Boundless account other income as $0 now.
