Stacks well with the Chase Offer for 10% back. Some people also have a SimplyMiles deal. You can try using a shopping portal as well, though those likely won’t track on gift card purchases.

I believe you can only use Uber GCs in the currency you buy them. Didn’t work for me in Europe last year and didn’t work in Mexico last week 🙁
Although a few years back I could have sworn I was able to use my GCs in France and Spain. It was really nice. They must have changed it since then, maybe dont wanna have to deal with the exchange rate. And less ways for us to use the USD GCs unfortunately, so better for them.
Here’s a mistake I made. I thought I would stack this deal by buying the Uber gift card with a Best Buy gift card. Turns out Best Buy does not allow you to buy gift cards with a gift card. I’m sad.

All prices on ubereats are jacked up by 20%, not including the 5% tips, its not worth it. Buying directly from restaurants is usually cheaper.
Restaurants set the pricing. Some charge higher prices, some don’t offer their special prices (happy hour, daily specials, etc), some add a flat upcharge to each item and some charge the exact same amount through the app that they charge for dine-in. You have to check on a place-by-place basis.
This isn’t to say that buying direct isn’t better for the restaurant in most cases, but not all places charge more via UE.
Restaurants set higher DD prices because Doordash takes a large chunk of it.
Some do. Maybe even many or most do.
A few of my local favorites don’t though! (And hopefully good options in other markets too). Since restaurants are able to set their own prices for the apps, some pass along the platform fees and others absorb them as part of their marketing.
As customers, checking ahead to see how places you like or plan to order handle pricing is the main way to avoid getting stuck “saving” 10% with deals like these, only to end up paying more for the meal. (Not to mention tips, delivery fees, platform service fees, etc).
This is true for the most part, but Ubereats always throws 40%/50% up to 3 order coupons at me lol. With the optimal total amount – discount + charges & tip, it comes out to be breakeven or slightly less, which reasonably justifies the convenience. If I actually sign up for UberOne, I could probably actually save ordering 3+ a month, since my extra service fee per order is like $3-$5.

Yep. And free Uber One. I actually made SavorOne Rewards card specifically for that (have a lot of upcoming travel) and for the 15 months 0 APR promo. That plus 200 cash on 500 spend adds up to a lot over time

lol best buy has no reason to be scamming customers. If it’s getting cancelled, they’re either out of codes to send out or you’re failing some compliance checks.
