Our Verdict

We’ve seen similar offers in the past. This stacks beautifully with the American Express $100 business Platinum credit if you find the offer on that card. Go through a shopping portal as well.

In the past, we have seen Amex sometimes disallow a double-dip on this as they’ve clawed back the double-take in the past. I’d recommend trying to spend $222 to ensure there’s $200 charge left for the Business Platinum credit, after getting the $22 back from the Amex Offer.

Dell has banned me from buying any of their products, because they claim I bought too much from them.

You need to call them and plead your case. If you have a valid explanation (e.g. bought two sets of headphones for yourself and your wife), they’ll remove the reseller flag and you’ll be able to purchase again.

Make sure you get the number of offers below 100. I had this offer “hiding” before I brought the total to <100.

If you have exactly 100 offers, it means there are more than 100. Search only searches the first 100 that you can anyway see on the page. To see more, you need to add offers to bring the total number of available offers below 100.

There’s a script to add all offers. This worked for me today: https://www.reddit.com/r/amex/comments/nrlmbs/comment/kf7gok9/

My offer was under all the normal offers and other “learn more” promos, so make sure to scroll all the way down.

Found it on two Business Platinums which will work nicely with $200 Dell credits. On one card it was beyond the 100 offers (and offer search doesn’t search past those 100) so make sure to bring your total below 100.

Usually the offers on personal cards are better (usually comes out to 20%). Dell lets you split payments among 3 cards, so you can combine a personal and a business card that each has an Amex offer.

Still allowed split 3 cards? It only allowed 2 cards on my recent purchase, did something change?

probably you were cashing in Dell Rewards then. that takes up one of your 3 slots.
