• Red Canoe Credit Union is offering a $150 bonus when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:
  • Sign up for eStatements and perform 10 qualifying transactions in 45 days (ACH debits or credits, check clearings, bill payments, debit/credit card transactions and online debit/credit card purchases.)

The Fine Print

• Membership eligibility and account qualifications apply.
• Limit one New Member Account $150 Bonus (offer) per social security number.
• Offer is not valid on business accounts, or for anyone with an existing ownership account at Red Canoe Credit Union.
• Promotional period is effective June 7 – August 31, 2024.
• Qualifications include: open a new membership account ($5 minimum balance requirement) at Red Canoe Credit Union, open a checking account at the time of establishing your membership account, be age 16 or older, perform 10 qualifying checking account transactions within 45 days of account opening and enroll in eStatement delivery.
• Qualifying transactions include ACH debits or credits, check clearings, bill payments, debit/credit card transactions and online debit/credit card purchases. ATM transactions and cash deposit/withdrawals will not qualify.
• Payout will occur after 45 days from account opening if all qualifications have been met. Red Canoe will not deposit Bonus Funds into a closed account or an account not in good standing.
• Red Canoe reserves the right to terminate this promotion at any time and promotion cannot be combined with any other offers or incentives.
• All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them

Our Verdict

We still need to find out if it’s a hard or soft pull but given that there is no direct deposit required AND the bonus requirements are easy to meet I do think this is worth doing.
