I think most folks here would be wondering about OOS eligibility.

Lots of select employee groups but nothing that appeared nationwide.

Good looking out for Hawaii promos. I would add that eLife checking also pays 5.0% interest on the first $10,000 in the account after 10 debit card purchases each month.

Bank of Hawaii is offering checking bonuses. Can’t share the link, but it’s on their website. Not sure what counts as direct deposit so I’m hesitant to sign up.

I live OOS in FL and I’ve applied 2 times and both times instant approved. They give account numbers and the debit card showed up a week later. Around 2 weeks after approval the account gets locked and closed with the remaining funds sent back as a check. When I called to inquire they mention it’s open nationally but if they see your outside Hawaii they’ll close it down. It’s okay to apply in person OOS.
