Our Verdict

Bit difficult to normal as you pick between United travel credit, Premier qualifying points (PQP) or bonus miles.

This promotion has issues. It says the spending needs to be before 9/30. However, it used the miles posting date for bonus, not spending date on card. The miles will post after the credit card statement released. If the miles are posted after 9/30, you will not get the bonus, even if your spending is before 9/30.

This affects me and P2. Were you able to resolve this issue by reaching out to Chase? What you’re describing seems like they’re violating the offer terms.

I got 2 offers recently-

-spend $1000 in June, July, and August each to get 13K pts after all is said and done
-spend $1000 between July and Sept to get 2K points

If I sign up for both, do I get both or does one override the other?

$100 United credit, 405 PQP, or 8,100 miles for $4,500 spend, jesus. On my Gateway downgraded three days ago from Explorer.

Worked for my United Business Explorer

$75 or 315 PQP or 6,300 miles

After $3,500 spend

I went for the miles

which would you pick for $3000 spending:
a. $75 credit, expires in a year
b. 6000 points
c. 300 premier qualifying points

i’m leaning towards B since they don’t expire and can sometimes get 1.5-2x value for points (ie worth $90-120). I’m also not sure how well I could combine the credit with points since we almost always book on points

Easy choice. B. Unless you’re close to another level of status, then C. For instance, I’m going to be like 400 PQPs away at the end of the year from the gold level, so I’ll likely select my PQP offer over the $ or points.
