Our Verdict
Nice discount from Pepper. Reports are that Amex Business Gold to earn 4x if it’s one of your top two categories. And reports are that it counts as Online Shopping for BofA cards and Blue Cash card and ShopYourWay card. And it counts as Computer Software category for BofA Customized Cash Rewards cards and for 1.5x on the Business Platinum card.
Also, it’s been said that Pepper purchases can trigger Chase Offers since the charge shows up with the merchant listed, and so this might possibly stack with a Chase Offer for Southwest.
Note: While these deals are unlimited, Pepper might put some limitation on how much volume you can order from your account overall. They might increase your buying power through the verification.
My thanks if you enter my signup code 584255 during the initial signup process. No referral links or references in the comments below, please.
I joined using your code. It says I should get 2x points for the next 15 days from signup. I tested 2 purchases and it doesn’t seem to work. I only get the multiplier displayed, ex. 3x on Target, not 6x. Do we get the second half of that after 15 days or did I not get it at all? Thanks!
I also joined as a referral. According to the FAQ, double points from referral are not tracked and are only granted 30 days after purchase. So we should find out. I would track this and complain to Pepper if you don’t see the double points from referral.
The maximum purchase amount is $1,500. In the case of Amazon, this gets your three separate $500 gift cards.
Anyone have an issue w/ a second purchase same day (e.g., another $1,500 of Amazon)?
For those who signed up, how has your experience been thus far? I ask because this is Moocho rebranded. They hit Referral World in October, 2021 and swiftly shut down most of our accounts within days of signing up. I tried unsuccessfully for weeks sending emails, calling customer service and leaving voicemails (calls never returned). When I finally got ahold of them, I asked what the reason was and what I needed to do to get my account reinstated. I was told they decided not to reinstate my account and deliberately hung up on me.
10% on Amazon today
Posted now, thx
If I use my Chase Ink Preferred to buy Southwest GC on Pepper, would the transaction be counted as “Travel” on Chase to get the 3x UR points?
It codes as office and shipping
Pepper codes as office? Does it get 5x UR if I use Chase ink cash?
does not code as office, codes as software
Got it thanks
Is this “safe” to use for an Amex card I’m trying to hit a SUB on?
Nothing is safe with Amex but I’m doing a full Amex Gold Biz SUB ($10k) via Pepper. I’m pretty confident I’ll get it.
That scares me. lol. I don’t want thousands worth of spend to get “wasted” because of a couple hundred gift cards. But maybe I’ll just test this on cards I already got the SUBs on.
I also noticed this codes at 1.5x software on Amex business platinum for anyone currently working on big sub spend.
Another DP (August 4th, 2024) on BofA Customized Cash Rewards counting it as online shopping.
10x points is 5% not 10% as the title says, no? Since 2 points is worth just 1 cent
They started using percentages when advertising deals since they revamped the rewards. You still earn points but it’s clearer how much back you actually earn from the deal advertisement.
Very confusing but you’re right! X should be the percentage. I tested it on a few cards and when they advertise “2x” points earns 4,000 points on $100 (worth $2 or 2%). 3x earns 3% (6,000 points on $100).
I believe 1x points = 20 points = 1% back. 10x points = 200 points per dollar = 10% back.
