Update 9/4/24: The $300 offer just expired. Apple is now sending out a new targeted $200 bonus which is broken down to ten $10 bonuses for each month you make 10+ purchases, through June 2025. Not as high offer and more annoying, but it will be easier for those who don’t have a lot of spend volume to get a $200 bonus by doing 10 tiny transactions at the vending machine or self checkout each month.

Our Verdict
Initially Apple Card offered no signup bonus at all, then they mellowed and started doing some smaller $50 – $100 bonuses; the highest we’ve seen before was a targeted $200. And so I was surprised to see this offer popped up in my email inbox – at $300 I might go for it. If you’re targeted, keep in mind this will count toward your 5/24 count for future Chase applications.
Just submitted a cfpb complaint on them. They charged me ‘trailing interest’ at the end of August even tho I paid my entire balance, and was on a 0% APR payment agreement thru the end of July.
Was it paid off by due date on July statement (assuming that’s when your 0% ended)? I’ve had 0% offers through a certain month and my due date is early in the month, I almost missed paying off the balance thinking it was good for one more statement. I started paying off a month earlier now to be safe.
No, and a chat rep specifically told me that I didn’t have to pay it by end of July, only the minimum. The way Apple Card works is as long as you don’t carry a balance and pay before the end of the month you don’t pay interest. I couldn’t have trailing interest from June/July since I had 0% APR but their system’s failing to recognize that
Do you get statements? What are they saying as far as the 0%?
They’re acknowledging I had 0% per the payment agreement but then saying I have trailing interest. I can’t have trailing interest from the same month I had 0%. Not sure where statements would be, it’s all in the wallet app
Is it normal application ask taking photo of ID to go through entire process? or only my Apple card application required it?
how to enroll in targeted promotions from apple, i might have opted out a while ago?
Ditto

DP:
08/13/2024 – $300 Offer received via email, applied and approved.
08/28/2024 – $1500 spent (transaction didn’t post yet, still pending) for insurance premium & utilities, etc.
$300 bonus showing up with the last transaction saying – Eligible for 1% Daily Cash & in the next line Eligible for Promotion ✮ $300.
Like others, I didn’t see anything regarding the $300 promotion during the application process. I guess everything tracked properly.
$300 offer arrived today. Not sure how to spend $1500 on this w/o missing better rewards from other cards.
When you fulfill the spending requirement for a bonus, you should forget there are better rewards on those spendings.
That’s about 21-23% cashback. What other cards are giving you better rewards?
