Our Verdict
Nice savings for Marriott stays. Based on prior experience, buying a gift card at the front desk works to trigger the AmEx Offer credit as well, despite the terms indicating otherwise.
There’s a separate offer to get $300 off $1,200 at Homes & Villas by Marriott.

Stayed at Ritz Carlton Amelia on points. Resort fees, parking and restaurant all charged to room. At the end was more than 350+, paid with the Amex card at checkout. Easily triggered the offer.

I added this to my biz plat two days ago. As of today it is no longer showing. Glad i checked before booking.

Saw this while staying at an Element property. Added the offer to Amex card and changed my card at checkout. Got $140 credit today. Thanks DoC.
It says hotel amenities are excluded?!? As long as I bill food, retail, spa directly to room as “room charge” it should trigger the credit right? I’m assuming it means if I don’t bill to the room those charges independently won’t trigger it.
So multiple purchases under 350 in the timeframe will trigger the offer as long as they add up to $350 minimum, or am I misinterpreting this?
Anyone know if this offer will stack with a similar offer for 80 off $400 at MGM resorts? Staying at MGM, booked on marriott app, both offers on plat card.
It doesn’t say it’s not accepted for reservations in Las Vegas at MGM hotels, so I assume it’ll work at the Bellagio, The Cosmopolitan, Aria and the others?
I have tried marriott gift card at Aria and they told me they accept MGM gift cards but not marriott gc. I bet Bellagio and Cosmopolitan have same policy.
