Not a bad deal, we usually see this once a year at around this time of year. Useful if you need Avios.
dont do it!!! HUGE surcharge fees. not worth it at all
the bigger thing is they nuked the value for AA domestic flights (now up to 12,500pcs one way for shorter flights)
Silly comment. There are only huge surcharge fees if you book BA metal. The best value with this is to book partner airlines or transfer points to Iberia, Qatar and other Avios partners.

iberia has also very high surcharges…
and if ur talkin bout partner ones like aa they are very rare to find. too much if a hassle. big skip for me…never again
