CVS: Buy $100 Zillions Giftcards, Get $20 ExtraBucks (Stack For More Savings)

The Offer

Direct Link to offer

  • CVS stores are offering $20 in ExtraBucks when you buy $100 Zillions gift cards. Valid 11/24 – 11/30.

Zillions gift cards can be redeemed for Airbnb, Lowe’s, and many others (including Amazon, in some versions).

Our Verdict

Decent savings. Made better with these potential stacks:

  • Rakuten in-store cash back offer of 10% on purchases of up to $50. Note, however, the terms that this doesn’t work on gift cards.
  • Some have mentioned an Ibotta deal as well

Zillow? They sell gift cards in CVS? How do they stay in business by over paying for people’s houses?

The zillions of gift cards is horrible, as you have no way of knowing beofre you buy it what gift cards they work on. Unlike the One4all sold by giftcards.com, zillions refuses to list the gift cards it can be redeemed for on their website and they write that it does not necessarily even include the gift cards pictured on the package. And there are reports that different people will see different options for redemption.

So unless you are interested in buying a gift card that you have no idea what it will work on, I would stay far away from this one.

Here’s the most recent list we have, current as of 10/7/24: https://gcgalore.com/incomm-launches-zillions-gift-cards-their-multi-brand-version-of-one4all-gift-cards/

Home Depot has since been removed: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/safeway-purchase-150-in-select-giftcards-get-25-off-your-next-shopping-ordervons-randalls-albertsons-tom-thumb-acme-jewel-shaws/#comment-1956624

But you are right that it’s annoying that they will not post a current list on their own website, so that there is a risk that the card you want will not be available at the time of redemption.

Where did you see reports that different people see different options? That’s very worrisome. Jason Smith

Almost every time I have ExtraBucks, it’s difficult to use: overpriced stuff, can’t combine with percentage off discounts (unlike Walgreens), pickup experience is usually bad (it can take a day to make it ready for pickup). Just sharing so you are aware.

Stores around me usually take less than 20 mins to get stuff ready for pickup. I’ve even had few orders ready within 2 mins (seriously).
I do agree about the other point.. It can be a bit of work to use EBs. You have to watch for the sales and cash back portals.

Gd Do the $20 EB rewards from this deal have to be used in one go, or can you use some EB for one transaction and some for another? I know that the $10 monthly EB award from being an ExtraCare Plus member has to be used all in one transaction, which is quite annoying.

I haven’t used those $20 EBs yet, but I automatically assumed it has to be used all in one go, just like the $10 monthly ones.

I normally use my monthly EBs on snacks, nuts, supplements, and OTCs. But it is annoying to have to use it all at once. And it doesn’t even count towards the $10 minimum for few shipping.

Rakuten down to 5% as of midnight Eastern, but it tends to go up and down every few days.

Rakuten in-store didn’t track for me when buying gift card (as I expected).

Yes, it would be a cherry on top, but you can’t count on it.

Look for BOGO deals – lots of them. Some CVS Health brand items can be worth it.

Sale prices for shelf-stable groceries (granola bars, canned soup) can be reasonable. Ditto for shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste (again, only when on sale).

You can also save some money by using in-store pickup and applying online-only coupons.

Their Well Market branded snacks are decent and always seem to be on sale.

I’ve noticed this offer for last two weeks. Used this deal twice so far, and planning to use again next week.

5% offer on all my Citi cards ($12.50 max), 10% on Chase, 2% on paypal.
