  • Ibotta is offering a $25 bonus when redeeming 50 offers during December 2024.

Our Verdict

Honestly it’s not going to be worth the effort for most people. There might be some Ibotta power-users who will find it interesting, or maybe there’s an easier way of taking advantage of this deal that I’m not aware of.

If you’re new to Ibotta, you can get $5 when you sign up with a referral link and earn cashback. (The referrer gets $7; full details here.) This is my referral signup link, or use the regular signup page and enter my referral code VCWYYWF during the signup process. Thanks.

Mine is 73 offers, it’s too much!

Generally the more active you are on ibotta, the more you have to redeem to get the bonus. $25 for 50 is targeted towards the more dormant accounts

Does Ibotta have a fee for dormancy/inactivity?

Yes, $3.99/month after 180 days of inactivity. They have always sent me an email 7 days in advance of the fee taking effect so I have a chance to do some activity.

Yes, they do.

https://help.ibotta.com/hc/en-us/articles/225528367-What-are-Account-Maintenance-Fees

“Once 180 days of no activity on your account pass, your account will be considered inactive. If you have a balance in your inactive account, Ibotta will deduct an amount equal to $3.99 from your accumulated Ibotta earnings for every 30 days that your account remains inactive.”

Thanks. I guess those “10 cents for any grocery receipt” are pretty useful to avoid dormancy.

66 for the $25.

I don’t think I’ve done 66 in the past 5 years.

Mine is for 69 offers. If you haven’t did Ibotta in a while, know that redeeming the same offer multiple times now counts towards these bonuses.

I consider myself pretty hardcore, but 50 offers is quite a high hurdle.

Now I just have to buy a bunch of unknown brand fair trade vegan hummus and non-dairy desserts.
