Our Verdict

They offered the same in 2024, 2023, 2022, and similar offers in the past as well. We also just saw offers for 85,000 points on the personal card and 125,000 on the business card. These don’t have the automatic Companion Pass component; you typically need 125,000/135,000 points to get the pass.

The companion pass on this offer is only good through February 2026, whereas if you earned it through traditional means it would be valid through the end of the following year you earned it in (e.g December 2026). This is a nice simple offer for some people and could be useful, but I think the points deals are better for most people.

Note that the Companion Pass earned with this signup deal is valid through February 2026 whereas when you earn it through the traditional method it’s valid through the end of the following year (which potentially can be almost 2 years, when timed right).
