Our Verdict
Great deal if you have access to Apple Pay.
Hat tip to reader John
Targeted by email but never got the bonus after making Apple Pay transactions before the 3/17 example below. Customer service is not helpful.
I was targeted by email.
03/17 – Made a purchase at CVS using Apple Pay
04/09 – Received $25 via Venmo
Did anyone get this variation of the offer to actually pay out? Debating whether its worth even bugging venmo/synbank as I know they are a pain 99% of the time.
Offer is not transferable. You must be the original recipient of this email. To qualify for a $5 cash back bonus, you must check out with Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay with your Venmo Credit Card between March 1, 2025 at 12:01 AM ET and March 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM ET. A maximum of $15 in cash back bonus may be earned with this offer. Cash advances, electronic funds transfers, money transfers, wire transfers, remittances, and transactions where the Venmo Credit Card is used to send money to another person (not for goods and services) through Venmo or any other payment service do not qualify for this offer. Fulfillment of the cash back bonus via an automatic transfer to the Venmo account will occur within 1-2 billing cycles after offer end date. Both your Venmo account and your Venmo Credit Card account must remain open, be in good standing, and not be delinquent at the time the cash back bonus is awarded. Offer may be modified or canceled at any time.
I will let you know. I got the $5 per purchase up to a max of $!5 deal so I went to Safeway yesterday and did 3 transactions of 1 carrot each for $0.45, $0.45, and $0.43 with Google Pay. I think it said 1 to 2 billing cycles to receive this bonus so we shall see.
I did get the $5 per purchase ($15 bonus offer cash back) on May 29th, 2025 so it worked without a minimum purchase amount for me.
well i got paid out yesterday for 24.21 out of the 25 so it was rough but a success
I received the full amount.
Different variation:
Add your Venmo Credit Card to Apple Pay®, Google Pay™ or Samsung Pay™, and try the convenient way to pay. When you use your mobile wallet to check out through March 31, 2025, you’ll earn $5 back on each purchase, up to $15 total.

I’m curious that there is no minimum purchase amount. I wonder if it still works on purchases less than $5. If so, free or making money. Score.
I got this offer from Venmo: You’ll earn $5 back when you spend $25+ with your mobile wallet by March 31, 2025.
I’ve learned to avoid these Venmo offers with a max number of redemptions.
On multiple occasions, I’ve received an email from Venmo promoting an offer, but despite my acting on it right away, I am later denied the credit due to the maximum number of redemptions having been reached (I only discover that after I submit an inquiry).
In many cases, that email from Venmo was the first and only communication about the promotion, so I would not have known if it had already been running for a while prior to that.
The last straw was when their email said “there’s still time” [to get the offer], but as I found out later, the offer had already been all claimed by then. Very misleading.
I got this offer on my Venmo debit card. I purchased Costco shop cards online via the mobile app and selected the Apple Pay option. I don’t know if this will qualify but seeing the limited number of redemptions I was not going to make a special trip.
When I went to load the card a pop up survey asked me why I haven’t used my Venmo debit card. Seems like this offer is to get it into our Apple wallets.
Paid! Thanks DoC! Now time to remove it from the Apple Wallet and cycle again……..
I got a similar offer: Using Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay, get $5 back on $25 or of spend. Same EOM expiration.
Got a variation for $5 credit but doesn’t specify any spending minimum, just $5 back when you use your mobile wallet to make a purchase (eom expiration).
Same. And they did not pay.
I got this offer with Google Pay as well
I got it but have no idea if you have to sign up somewhere or if it’s already active (or why is there a limit of redemptions)
