Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
This account has a $3.95 monthly fee ($4.95 monthly fee with paper statements). No way to avoid the monthly fee.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find a fee schedule so I’m unsure if there is an early account termination fee or not.
Our Verdict
Previously this was only $100, now that it is $400 it’s definitely worth doing. We will add this to our list of the best bank account bonuses.

Hard check. Don’t open.
I used the link kindly shared by ck9 in this thread, so I don’t know if this applies to their whole site…. but wow, website from HELL:
Check “yes” for US citizenship, and the app will bounce, demanding an answer to “If not a US citizen, how long are you planning to live here?”
Check “self-employed” and it will still demand an answer to “if retired.”
It asks for details on usage of a credit card which it identifies by “last four digits.” But they are not the last four digits! They are not digits 13-16 of the account number, but digits 9-12, i.e., the third of the four 4-digit blocks comprising the account number..
And of course the password must meet requirements which are not specified on the page; you won’t know until the app bounces yet again. But this seems to be standard everywhere.
I had to “stop and save” — I forget why — so there might be more in store further along.
It does offer a choice among 3-4 account types, some having no fee. I’m not sure it’s the page that offers the bonus though.
And when is paday? This description doesn’t say.
Must live or work in one of our qualifying locations Cuyahoga, Lorain or Medina County or select employer groups.

I see that too. Though if you can name a member, that would work too.
This is helpful, thanks! I do live in Cuyahoga.
Any idea how to actually open the account? I don’t see a link on their website to open online. Do I have to go to a branch?

That link takes me to an acct opening page but doesn’t mention a bonus. Do you know if that address will give the bonus? thanks
Great deal, thanks DoC!
Anyone know how to actually open the account? The link in the post sends you to a page that doesn’t have a link to open online- just a form to fill out your contact info and send to them. Does it have to be opened in person?
I submitted the form. I’m planning to call tomorrow and may go into the main branch this week if I don’t hear a response.
