On August 22nd, eBay changed the terms on their gift cards to no longer allow the purchase of third party gift cards without any notice. A lot of people complained and filed complaints with the California attorney general. eBay has been contacting people that have made these complaints letting them know that a grace period will be added and everybody will be able to purchase third party gift cards with eBay gift cards from September 13th until October 13th, 2016.
How good this news is really depends on whether eBay will still have third party gift card sales and eBay bucks bonus offers during this period or not. I suspect they will as it’s the last month for Q3 and they’ll want to pad their numbers somewhat but we will have to wait and see. If not then you might want to have a look at our list of the best options for purchasing full price gift cards.

Ebay ended this early, as I cannot use my ebay GCs today. Does anyone know exactly how people went about filing a complaint with the Cal AG? I am having trouble finding where to submit a complaint.

Is the redemption period for third party gift cars THRU October 13 or UNTIL October 13???

I’m at $2734.80 in the past 60 days after buying $400 worth of gift cards today so it doesn’t look like 2k/60 is being enforces or was at least reset at some point in the recent past.
Has anyone surpassed the 2k limit?
