Our Verdict

This works out to be an extra 4 miles per $1 spent if you spend exactly $125/$250. It’s good to see there are still some shopping portal bonuses after Cartera was acquired by eBates, but it’s likely this was in the works before that acquisition was announced anyway. I suspected the other Cartera owned airline portals (Southwest, Alaska, Delta) will have a similar offer up soon, make sure you follow us on Twitter as we will post there as soon as those are live.

my Nordstrom Rack order from Feb 1 still hasn’t tracked… normally it only takes 2 days… very suspicious.

Talking about United, There’s a United 50K sogn up bonus points public offer and even a 70K targeted offer.

This link is for the 50K public offer.

Agree with Lantean – it takes a while, but I track them carefully and they’ve all come thru.

If you have a problem, their customer service is really good – you can email them thru the MileagePlus Shopping site.

Would it be reasonable to assume that both spending AND earning miles are required for getting the bonus? For example, if the miles are clawed back (as with the recent NM experience), there would be no bonus either.

yes that’s correct.
even when you return something you bought during the bonus period it will count against you and if it puts you below the threshold you won’t get the bonus.
