What Credit Card Offer Portals Share The Same Back End?

Recently we posted about a great deal from Bank of America’s BankAmerideal’s, giving you $100/$75/$50 back for spending $30 at AT&T. The same deal is also offered through Regions Bank’s offer portal. The title of this post is a bit misleading, because we don’t actually care what back end card issuers use – rather just if the same offers frequently appear or not. These offers are through Cardlytics; reader JD has a very insightful comment that I’d recommend reading for more background information.

I’m hoping readers can contribute to this post, as I have relatively little information to go off. The following card issuers all share offers:

  • Bank of America
  • Chase
  • Wells Fargo
  • U.S. Bank
  • BBVA
  • BB&T
  • PNC
  • Regions Bank
  • Suntrust
  • Columbia Bank
  • Beneficial Bank
  • Christian Community CU
  • Evansville Teachers Federal Credit Union

If you know of any others (or any other clusters of card issuers with similar rewards offers) please let me know in the comments.

F.A.Q

How do I know which cards are eligible?

  • On mobile site: log into account. Go to profile and settings, click bankamerideals, click eligible credit debit cards. Will show a list of cards that can be used. (thanks to reader Belinda)

Can I redeem the same offer across multiple cards/card issuers?

Let’s say you have the exact same offer on the Bank of America portal and PNC portal, are you able to redeem the offer once via Bank of America & again via PNC? The answer is yes.

With some of the card issuers you can do it multiple times per portal. This doesn’t work with:

  • Bank of America

This does work with:

  • PNC

I can see this offer in my wells fargo personal credit card and debit card.
Whether I can use either card to get this $5 credit?
Thanks.

It’s too bad I cannot locate this offer on Chase because there’s also $5 off when you spend $25 or more with visible thru PayPal— Stack lunch?

This is a means for businesses to promote people’s consumption, don’t pay attention to 15%, there are big restrictions!

Only the first transaction is supported, and the highest cashback is 9$, don’t expect it, I am not short of 9$!

Do debit cards have to be UNLOCKED in order to get offers? I have never gotten an offer on my debit cards for WF, BBVA, PNC, and Suntrust. Those are locked. However I have gotten offers on my Chase debit even though it is locked.

Does anyone know how these systems (and Bank of America, in particular) work if you and your spouse have the same credit card on two logins and are able to clip the offer twice? We hadn’t logged into my wife’s Bank of America login in a long time but managed to get in today. She has 3 of our 5 BofA credit cards on that account and I noticed that she had the same Bankamerideals available to clip on her account that I had already clipped (for anyone not familiar, on BofA they are linked to the login and not a specific card as is the case with Chase). I was able to clip all of the offers on her login, so in theory now 3 of the cards have the offer twice. If I make a purchase on one of those cards for an offer that we both clipped, is there any chance of being double credited? I’m assuming the answer is no, but I also wonder if it would then be available to use a second time on one of those cards.

Sadly, I only have the $25 AT&T deal (for 2 $15 purchases) on both accounts, or I’d definitely be trying it.

So, i decided to try this. I have a friend who uses AT&T and he made a couple of $15 payments on my Bank of America card as well as my Chase card that had a better offer (he paid me half so we split the profit). I had the offer loaded on both my BofA onlin account and my wife’s at Bank of America, but being paid to different accounts (noti intentional, that was just got it was set up, but it was going to work well for my test). Both accounts showed the offer as redeemed and pending payment. Sadly, it was only paid to one account.

So there does not appear to be a way to double-dip. My wife does not have all of our Bank of America cards on her login, so I guess if we get a really good offer I could do the initial purchase on one of the cards that she does not have, and hopefully the offer will still show as available on her account and I can do it on one of those cards and get paid for two purchases.
