I never received a 1099-INT for this Business Bank bonus… anyone else get it?

Ugh. They require you to go in branch to close a business account.

I opened this account with them as a sole prop using my SSN.
I received a letter a month later saying they are closing my account after reviewing my Chex report.
I wonder if it makes sense to file claim with CFBP since this is a business acc and it didn’t last required 90 days.

BTW, nothing is wrong in chex report except 10 inquires last year.

I opened a basic business checking account today in SF. I printed out the flyer and was funded with a personal check. I didn’t ask about credit card funding in branch.

I plan to bill pay 5 times and keep my minimum daily balance above $1,000. Should be a simple bonus. I will report back on my data points regarding getting the bonus.

I had to close my account because I did not have a DBA or Fictious Business Name document. Getting one would have cost $600+. Oh well.

So they asked you to close the account AFTER it’s been successfully opened?
I am S corp but also no DBA. They didn’t ask for that documentation just my articles of incorporation and EIN.

I only have a sole proprietorship with an EIN. No articles of incorporation or DBA.

Look like YMMV. Opened yesterday with just image using sole prop. (social # only). I have a legit side business but no documents. Confirmed soft pull.

Great customer service. I’m planning on keeping this account anyways for my business. 500 CC funding in branch but did not attempt so unsure of how that would code.

I went into Union Bank with the image from the flyer. They initially told me that would be fine but 15 minutes later the manager let me know that they would need an actual flyer to submit it with the bonus.

I’ve been a UBOC customer for over 20 years. I have a Priority Banking Checking account, a Preferred Savings account, and a few IRAs with them. I got the mailer, but I’m not a business. I wonder if it’s possible to capitalize on this offer? I’m thinking no. Any thoughts?

I think I’ll just have to be up front with them – I don’t want to jeopardize my banking relationship, or have to open another account with requirements that I don’t need if there’s no bonus. Thanks for the feedback.

I just opened the basic business checking today in a local branch and all I brought in was the scanned copy of the mailer from this post and they accepted it without any hassle. So can confirm that you don’t need the actual mailer to open this account.
Also, there doesn’t appear to be any hard inquiries on any of my credit files so I’m pretty sure it’s not a HP to open.
