The Problem with SEARS is the points are only good for 30 days and you have to spend them at Sears (or kmart, I think). I can understand them having you spend the points in their stores as a loyalty program but since the points go away quickly, I feel they are just screwing their customers. Because of that I dont shop there much.

The whole Shop Your Way Rewards points are meant to entice customers to shop thinking they’ll get back points that are worth something. And they may be worth something if you can use them on discounted items; paying full price for anything at Sears is paying 2x the price, at least.

I agree but there are a few things you can actually find for a comparable price to begin with. The WORX 14″ chainsaw was already not too much more. I ended up getting it for $30 and getting $55 in points to use towards future order. ($30 in future points plus the $25 masterpass.)

For the buy $30 and get $30 in points they only gave me something like 10 or 14 days. The points expire before the item even arrived at least I was able to get them posted manually.

Yes, they want the points to expire unused, and many undoubtedly do. It is an ongoing effort to keep up with the program to not let any go to waste. Too much trouble for some people, but it is one of the more generous retailer points/rewards programs.

I guess I’m a Sears “fanboy” (insert shudders) thanks to constant SYW deals which I resell, but I haven’t been able to get this to work on similar deals in the past. The app was too crappy. But hey maybe 3rd time is the charm….

My $10 in syw points bonus posted automatically about three days after I picked up a $10 order, using the app, at a Sears location. (and this was on top of the $25 Masterpass promotion, which I had to call in to get posted)….. Not bad — $35 in points for a $10 order. Thanks Doc.

This is like the Curbside service at CVS.

So if you don’t have data on your phone, you can’t do this offer, right? I only use the Internet on my phone via free wi-fi.

Sears does have Wi-fi, but if your store is like mine, you will have to go inside to use, and hope you are near an access point, as the coverage is abysmal. That or go over to Younkers (or another retailer), and use theirs

IIRC, you need to be on Sears WiFi for this pickup thing to work. Some Sears stores have a decent WiFi signal that reaches the first row or two of the parking lot, some it’s just inside, and I’ve heard some stragglers never got WiFi at all.

I’m sure this will be executed to perfection

Indeed. After I clicked on the link I was taken to a page which looked like the photo above BUT had no mention of the $10 anywhere. I’ve never used in-vehicle pickup before. YMMV.
