The Fine Print

  • Try Amazon Cash for the first time by adding $60 or more to your Amazon Balance and earn a $15 Amazon Credit towards your next purchase on Amazon.com. Your discount will automatically be applied at checkout.
  • This is a limited time offer, one per Amazon customer account.
  • The promotional credit expires on July 31, 2018.

Our Verdict

We’ve seen deals of $20 when loading $100 before, or $10 for loading $20 or $10 for loading $50. Personally I’d probably just wait for an offer that gives you $20 credit, but if you only wanna load a smaller amount then $15 for loading $60 is a decent deal. As always a full list of ways to save on Amazon can be found here.

FYI, this deal is dead, and there is currently a deal for $5 after $20.

I was going to do this but never got around to it. Now it appears it’s $10 for $30 load. Better than 7.11…. But not as good as $15 plus $7.11 some people got last month for loading $60. Oh well.

Yes! I loaded $60 cash at 7-11 (the register would not accept the credit card I tried to use) on 6-1-18, used up the $15 credit, then got email with additional $7.11 code on 6-6-18.

“The Promotional credit expires on July 31, 2018”

If the extra $15 didn’t expire, I’d be a lot more tempted. OTOH, I do have an Amex offer for 2000 points ($10?) for $50 spend that expires at the end of the month, so if I find something I want that costs $65 or more, I’ll go for it.

Fine print says I can’t use the promo code to buy Amazon gift cards, but it doesn’t say anything about buying Visa or other 3rd party gift cards.

Edit: Under terms & conditions for Amazon Balance, it actually does say NO to buying other gift cards with ANY of the money in the Balance account.

Yeah, I hate that the extra credit expires–I forgot about mine once until after it had expired. 😛

If you contact Amazon, they might reinstate it. YMMV. I had one that I
thought I had still available, but they said I missed it by a couple days and they did credit it.

Did this trigger the 1k/$50 amex offer?

Sorry for stupid question but does this require cash as payment or can we pay with a credit card?

and where is that original fine print actually mentioning 30/60 levels? Can’t seem to locate it. Just your reading of their fine print from somewhere.

If you decide to do this deal at 7-11… don’t forget to use a card linked to the Drop app. If you are unfamiliar with Drop… 7-11 is one of the stores you can earn points at… Doc has posted on it before and I would suggest using their referral link to sign up… Jesus walks with me!!
