Our Verdict
Some people use Rover a lot and this should be useful. Doesn’t look like there’s any way to lock the discount in for the future since the terms exclude gift card purchases.

Thank you Chuck. Got it on all 10 cards between me and spouse and will do some advanced bookings.
By the way most sitters (including mine) take $35 a day, So if you do a two day booking it will be $70 plus a $4.90 Rover fee for a total of $74.90. Yikes. The value of 10 cents.

How much cut does Rover take?
If they take 15% (my guess) one could create two accounts, pay $75 from one to the other for an imaginary dog walk, Rover would take $15 and one would still come out ahead… especially if they have 2k MR offer instead.

You can do even better. If your dog is sick or needs something medical. You could do a rover booking with your friend and then file she got hurt there and claim Rover insurance.
But its illegal just like claiming $27 from Targets flushable wipes lawsuit. Lol.
