At the moment it’s possible for some people to access the following Chase United offer (should be available on both personal & business versions of the card):
- Receive 50,000 United miles after you make $2,000 or more in purchases within three months of account opening.
- Receive an additional 5,000 United miles after you add an authorized user and they make their first purchase [Read:Â How Does Being An Authorized User Affect Your Credit?]
- Annual fee of $95 waived for the first year
This is a worse same deal was offered back in August (which also came with a $50 statement credit). Here is how to get the offer 55,000 mile offer (no statement credit):
- Go to http:/www.theexplorercard.com/55 and log into your MilagePlus account. Make sure you clear your cache & cookies or preferably use incognito mode in chrome.
- See if you’re targeted using Chase’s pre-approved tool. Click here to learn how to use this tool.
- At certain airports. Some airports are advertising this 55,000 point bonus offer, LAX & IAH have been confirmed (let us know about other locations in the comments)
- Send a secured message asking to be matched (you’ll need to have signed up for the card within the last three months and will most likely need an invitational code. These invite codes are given out at LAX and other airports. When I’m next at LAX I’ll try to pick up a bunch of codes and add them here)
In the past we’ve shown you how to get the same offer on personal & business cards. The process is a bit different thus the reason for this post. I would’ve thought most people interested in this card would’ve gotten it when the bonus was increased in August. It’s also worth noting that if you missed out, the 55k + $50 offer will almost certainly be offered to the public in the future. I’d personally recommend waiting until the offer with the statement credit comes back, but if you’re in desperate need for United miles then this might be a good option.
Remember that Chase cards are churnable every twenty four months as well.
Hat tip to running with miles & flyertalk thread
You can always find this offer plus 50 statement credit by logging in your MileagePlus Account and searching a ticket. The offer will appear above searching results. If not, repeat. I did this last month and have received the statement credit.
Are you sure this method still works to get the $50 statement credit as well?
My statement closed at the beginning of December. The statement credit has appeared in the recent activity. Still waiting for the 55k miles though. Since I succeeded in November, it should still work now.
yes it works… i got it just now. used Chrome. not sure about other browsers.
I have 5 cards with Chase and get this offer in the mail and on the United website CONSTANTLY. I’ve been tempted a time or two.
