Our Verdict

It says you have to do step one and step two, step two should show up after entering your details on the first page. Keep in mind this offer does contain targeted language and requires being a Rapid Rewards credit cardholder, my guess is that this will be enforced but it’s difficult to know for sure (update: looks like it’s erroring out for some people. If it doesn’t error out for you I suspect you’ll actually get the points). After registering you should be able to see if it’s attached to your account (My Rapid Rewards -> Promotions).

6,000 Southwest points is $76.8 so this is a great deal if you can get it.

After having this promo disappear off the promo list for months, I think the first 3k just hit my account as “ACTION BASED BONUS” +3000.

I haven’t gotten the bonus although seems like others have. I did cancel the credit card about two months ago so looks like they track that.

I was Targeted and signed up and it showed up under my promotions tab until this week now it’s disappeared. I opted in and followed all the terms so I hope I get it in 4 more months or so…!

Thought this was important. Make sure to set up a separate folder for them on Gmail and don’t forget to open a few.

I was planning to cancel my SW cards in October after the anniversary points posted. I guess I’ll leave one of them open.

I registered and my account reflects that I’m registered. Interesting line noted in the terms. Appears you have to open an email once in a while as well…

My account: I already was subscribed to emails and no longer a card holder. (I canceled my card about 3 to 6 months ago) I unsubscribed from emails and still will not let me sign up for the promotion. (Also even when logged in the information on the promo page did not automatically fill in.)

“This form has the following errors

Spouse Account.

Current card holder and not currently subscribed to emails. (When logged in) it automatically filled in the information on the promotion page.
Allowed to sign up with no problem.

Just curious whether those being denied the promotion can confirm both that they have the card and are not subscribed to emails.

So far I don’t see any reports that have clearly confirmed that.

(You can see whether you’re signed up for emails under the communications tab on your account page. I believe you either have to be using a computer or viewing the website in desktop mode.)
