Our Verdict
Keep in mind cumulative transactions count, so it doesn’t have to be a single purchase of $800+. This looks like it’s highly targeted, so I doubt most people will see the offer unfortunately. Delta amex offers are fairly common, recently we had spend $300 & get $60 back and spend $600 and get $120 back. This new offer is a discount of 20% if you spend exactly $800 (same as the other offers). Gift cards aren’t excluded this time and have worked in previous offers as well, so that is one option for maxing out the $800 required.

I am targeted in personal platinum. If I buy Air France or KLM flight ticketed by Delta, will it be qualified for this promo?
I think it will count as long as you book it through Delta.com It doesn’t say anywhere in the terms and conditions that the flights need to be operated by Delta.
If flight originates outside the US, but priced in USD, will the transaction sneak by and trigger the offer?
No idea, probably depends if those flights are coded differently or not
Got it on Biz Plat. Not sure I can use it though.
Received it but don’t fly. Any suggestions?
Read the post. “Gift cards aren’t excluded this time and have worked in previous offers as well, so that is one option for maxing out the $800 required.”
I received it on 1 of me and P2’s 5 cards.
