Dosh: Get 3% Cashback at Exxon/Mobil when Using a Linked Card

The Offer

  • Dosh app is offering 3% back in-store at Exxon/Mobil locations when using a linked card.

Dosh sent out an email about this offer, and you should see it in your Dosh app as well. Check the app for nearby participating Exxon/Mobil locations.

The Fine Print

  • Participating stations only.
  • Use a Dosh-linked credit card or swipe your debit as credit.

Our Verdict

Previously they have offered 2%. Spent recently added Exxon Mobil as a 3% earning option as well. Not sure if you can stack both or not, I always forget when it comes to card linked programs. Update: Spent has removed the 3% earning options.

Spent has had me at negative cashback since I’ve signed up. I made a large credit card payment via my bank’s mobile app and to them it looks like a refund from Mobil. They’ve been “looking into” their bad programming for weeks.

The Dosh app just gave me a notification that they’re giving 5% cash back at CVS for 1 week (I guess from today 10/1, but it isn’t clear). It says “at participating in-store locations”; they don’t show any CVS locations in my Nearby list; I don’t know if that means the locations near me aren’t participating, or if CVS will never show up in their list. “Excludes prescriptions filled at the CVS pharmacy”.

I’m now in another location, and Dosh shows 3 CVS locations in the Nearby list (though they’re still 28 miles away). I guess only those 3 locations in the list are participating? Has anyone gotten Dosh credit for a location not in the list, but the same brand?

I used the same deal on Spent; 3% cash back at Exxon/Mobil. But I think it was only until the end of September?

Dosh and Spent are Mutually exclusive. You can be registered at both but your card can only be linked to one or the other. Sadly this offer doesn’t help at all since neither support Pentagon FCU’s credit card (5 points per $ which is 4.something percent. for gas….3 points per $ for grocery)

I have to take this back. Where previously it was telling me my card was already registered with SPENT it’s now letting me add the cards..not sure what’s going on but I won’t complain.

They had a glitch with the Exxon Mobil offer, my mobile payment to my Freedom card was treated as a return at Exxon Mobil, currently waiting for support to reverse the $7 cash back debit.

When my Amex offer of 10% posted, Spent removed some the cash back I earned (a few cents) also treating it as a return.

I don’t see 10% off gas on any of my amexes , is it targeted?
Thank you

It was targeted to Amex business cards back in June (along with Staples, Dell, Lowes, etc.. I don’t think it could be added after a period of time.

So it’s an extra 2.7% discount rather than 3%. 🙂

Can this stack with the amex 10% back on exxon/Mobil gas?

Most Mobile stations around here charge a significantly higher price if you pay for gas with a card versus cash. I also have Fuel rewards through Shell that give me 5 cents off a gallon. Fortunately most Shell stations around here charge the same for gas or card. While Shell stations do tend to charge a little more per gallon than some of the discount chains, there are a few around here close to me that charge the same low price, I use the FR program, get 5 cents off a gallon, then i pay with my Penfed Visa for an additional 5% back,

A lot of offers have been disappearing from Spent – Home Depot, Costco, now fuel. Becoming worthless to me now.
