We just posted about Chase offering 60,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to some Chase Sapphire cardholders (No annual fee, Preferred & Reserve). On October 15th a number of things will be happening:
- That 60,000 point offer will be available online to targeted customers
- Select existing checking & savings clients will be offered a bonus of $750 for signing up for Chase Sapphire Banking (this will target people without a Sapphire card). This will also be available online
- Select existing checking & savings clients will be offered a bonus of $1,250 for signing up for Chase Private Client (this will target people without a Sapphire card). This will also be available online. It will require a total of $250,000 or more in qualifying deposits
You’re limited to one Sapphire Checking/Chase Private Client per 12 month period. It looks like these will be on a different qualification cycle than regular deposit accounts (those are one every two years). So it looks like you’d be able to do one Sapphire/CPC bonus per 12 month period plus one regular checking/savings bonus per 24 month period.
Big thanks to our Chase source for this information
What is the link to register for this?
when is CPC 1250 starting? Is it targeted?
I have the $1250 offer. Anyone has the $750 Sapphire Banking offer?
can you share a photo ?
Looks like first invitations were sent out on Monday. Informed Delivery is showing the $1250 CPC offer for P2 (Only has Total Checking/Savings, Freedom Unlimited).
Can you send me a picture of the offer when you receive it?
So I’ve never had a Chase checking account and I don’t yet have a Sapphire card (don’t plan to until sometime next year after going through more Chase biz cards). I guess I should try to open a checking/savings now with the $600 bonus, then hope to be targeted for upgrade to Sapphire or CPC later right?
This really makes no sense. So if someone has no Sapphire cards, they can upgrade to Sapphire or CPC and get a cash bonus. But if you already applied for a card, you may not get the Sapphire offer let alone the CPC upgrade offer?
The ones that do upgrade to CPC for $1250 can shortly later apply for Sapphire cards and still get the 50k spending bonus points. i would have held off applying for Sapphire cards if I new that.. I applied for Sapphire card hoping for the point bonus for Sapphire banking – but would have been more interested in CPC upgrade offer and added Sapphire card anyway after that.
Converting my current account is the best of all worlds. Given how much Chase is starting to restrict this stuff — I want to just get the Sapphire Checking and keep it. Sounds like an awesome account. I figured I’d have to wait at least months.
So if we were targeted would we have already received an email. I currently have a chase bank account and do not have a Sapphire card. I was going to upgrade my freedom to a sapphire this week for an upcoming trip. Maybe I should wait unless people have already received an email. So have people gotten a targeted email announcing this upcoming
This could be interesting. Could I open a separate checking account and not disturb the grandfathered status of my current Chase checking account? I mean, like, in case the investment platform doesn’t work, terms change, etc.
Good question, but I don’t think anyone knows the answer yet since it’s such a new program.
I already have a chase private client account……so i am at loss for already being a CPC account or i can get the bonus too?
you already know the answer. This is for new customers only. No one will give you a large sign up bonus for being an existing customer.
You won’t get anything. Personally I’d complain and see what they do, but I doubt you get anything.
William Charles Would you suggest to close CPC checking now and later open Chase Sapphire Banking to get $750 bonus? Or do I qualify for the bonus without closing my CPC?
Not sure they will target you if you’ve recently closed a CPC account, there might even be some restriction on it but it’s not on the official documents I saw. Probably doesn’t hurt to close the CPC since the benefits are terrible anyway
How are the benefits terrible?
By doing absolutely nothing but keeping my Vanguard investments there, I get fee free banking. Free wires, unlimited worldwide free ATM, no FX, good service, free museums all over SF, free business accounts, etc.
Prior to the upgrades to Sapphire banking none of these things were available at Chase.
Could be doing much better at BofA though.
I am in the same situation. I did not gat any bonus when I signed up though.
You could opt-out of the Private Client program and hope they target you to re-join.
