So here is the deal… Giant Eagle has something called FuelPerks Plus. It is only available in select markets and is NOT the same as their regular FuelPerks program. I bought a 500$ amazon gc yesterday and 200$ in groceries. I called their 800 number and they told me that its a glitch and awarded me the x2 perks. A friend of mine did the same thing and he was told that it is a seperate program and he shouldn’t have gotten the x2, but since it is advertised online and it is misleading they awarded him the points.

Heard from 2 people that if you call or go to the service desk they will fix it and give you the x2
I was planning to buy thousands in gift cards and don’t want to risk it..
At this point, I want to stay under the radar. I am going to be out later and will test the waters at our local GE. Hopefully someone lets us know sooner if they received the double perks or not.

If anyone is new to Giant Eagle fuel perks, Giant Eagle gift cards haven’t counted toward fuel perks in the past. However, you can buy other gift cards with Giant Eagle gift cards and those count toward fuel perks.
I still have a stash of GE gift cards from when Hubby and I maxed out quarterly 5X gas station bonuses at Get Go.
I also got an email from Giant Eagle about e-gift cards. They want you to add e-gift cards to your Giant Eagle app wallet.

They killed buying prepaid “anywhere” (VGC, AGC…) With GE GC though. You can buy any GC but those with a GE GC.
This looks like a coupon that printed out of a Catalina machine.
The direct link shows this week’s circular which doesn’t say anything about this. (This would typically come out in next week’s circular that mails out Tuesday).
Do we know that this is at ALL stores? If so, that’d be great because it’s been awhile since 20cents!
Does anyone have any additional information on this? In this week’s circular that arrived today, at least for Northeastern Ohio, there’s no mention of this. It seems weird to me that this would come out of a Catalina machine as a general ad (as opposed to a targeted coupon) but not be mentioned in the circular.
Or are other Giant Eagle markets seeing this advertised in their weekly circular?

William Charles – I’m not sure this is actually happening. I’m in western PA and have seen nothing on this. I reached out to @OHTravelDad on twitter to see if we can get any clarity.
Correct me if I’m wrong but freedom isn’t giving 5x on groceries this month, is it? And I don’t think Giant Eagle works with Chase Pay.
