Our Verdict
According to cash back monitor the best historical rate for Marriott is 10%. Normally it seems to sit around 7%. Keep in mind you’re still doing the booking directly through Marriott so you get elite stay credits and points. If you don’t have an Ebates account then consider using my link here.

Any way to get a Group Code box to show up on IHG/Holiday Inn siteswhen going thru Ebates? I have to book a hotel for a wedding, need to enter the group code to get the rate (and availability). But the box isn’t showing up when I go thru Ebates, either IHG or HI.
usually the portals restrict what custom discounts they will offer. you’ll likely have to book direct to get the availability/rate

Anyone know if you book a stay outside the ebates referral promotion, does it still count for the referral bonus? Not sure since the cashback will post well after the referral window ends for the stay I just booked
If you’re asking does booking a stay now earn 10%even if you complete the stay when the cashback drops then yes, I can confirm from personal experience.

Not sure if this was a recent change, but it looks like the list of exclusions has changed (pasted below). For example, in your original post above it says Ritz Carlton is excluded — but looking at the list below, only the Ritz Carlton Destination Club is excluded, along with the Ritz Carlton London. Seems like other vanilla Ritz properties should be available for cash back?

Part of Travel Thursdays. Marriott, IHG, Ebates Hotels, and cruises through Priceline are the 10% offers this week. As another commenter suggested, check to see if you have an Amex Offer you can stack with.
Yes, every Thursday is Travel Thursday at Ebates/Rakuten. The merchants usually change from week to week, but you can usually find a few merchants offering 10% Cash Back.
