Chase Rolls Out ‘Chase Offers’

Update 11/14/18: Looks like Chase offers are now live, but only showing up on mobile. Can’t see any crazy deals as of yet, but some might be useful for regular purchases. (Hat tip to readers security and David G.) Seems it’s not yet rolled out for everyone. If you do have it, you can find it on the main app page by scrolling all the way down. Added an image at end of post.

Original Post:

Chase sent out a memo to bankers on Friday with the news that ‘Chase Offers’ will relaunch, starting during the week of November 11 – 19th.

Chase Offers first appeared in November 2017 on the Marriott and Slate cards, then it was pulled, stating it will come back, then it actually appeared on the Hyatt cards. As I understand the memo, it’ll begin rolling out on all cards beginning November 11th. Sounds like it’ll be a slow rollout, we’ll have to wait and see how it materializes.

You’ll have to activate an offer before using. Offers will be available on the Chase mobile app, on the ChasePay app, and in custom Chase communications emails. This is a bit different than the initial Chase Offers launch where offer showed up on a dedicated website. It also sounds like you won’t find offers on Chase.com, only in the mobile app or targeted email.

Seems like the offers will be targeted based on spend history, similar to how Bank Amerideals works. This is somewhat different than the Amex Offers system where – while it’s sometimes targeted based on age, gender, and the like – it doesn’t seem to go much by your spend history. We’ll have to wait and see how it ends up actually working with Chase (I don’t recall hearing it was based on spend history when Chase Offers was live in the past). Update: in fact, Chase Offers are powered by Cardlytics, the same backend as Bank Amerideals and many other banks.

Not sure if the offers will be on a specific card or you’ll be able to use any card in the Chase login, similar to how it works with Bank Amerideals.

Anyone had success utilising the same offer across more than one Chase card (and receiving the bonus % back on both cards)?

BTW thanks to the person who mentioned that these are visible in the Chase Pay app. It’s a much better implementation there!

How long is it taking for offers to show as redeemed? I used one at Five Guys the other day and the charge has cleared but it’s not showing as redeemed in the app. With BofA it’s pretty quick.

I had a bunch of offers on my Sapphire card (which used to be Sapphire Reserve, I downgraded a few months ago), likely because I used it at a lot of restaurants when it was the CSR. Very few on my regular Freedom cards (Olive Garden, Starbucks, Panera).

Can I use the authorized card to trigger the offer? I guess the credit card number is the same so it should work. Just want to confirm. Thanks.

I can’t imagine that it wouldn’t, since as you say the card numbers are the same.

Apologies if covered elsewhere, but I just started seeing offers on my CIP [edit: online account] (my only Chase card). Only 10% off 7 gift cards at present.

Checked the app and online. No offers found.

I see it now on the chase app at the bottom of the account overview list. It takes a bit longer (on a slow phone connection it took about 20s longer) to load after all of the accounts showed up.

I’m seeing offers for my wife’s Chase Freedom Unlimited card (not using Chase Pay or the mobile app) through the Ultimate Rewards home page. On the top banner, I see a “Deals” tab marked “new.” When I click on it, I then get a “Chase Ultimate Deals” page which shows “Hot Deals,” “Gift Card Deals” (10% off 17 different gift cards) and “Shopping Deals” (bonus URs for shopping at 4 different stores).

To access your offers in the Chase Pay app, click on Manage, then My Offers.

how come nobody is talking about where exactly to look? clearly, im not the only one confused. when we say “Only Appearing On Mobile”, what exactly does that mean? which app?

i looked at both chase bank and chase pay apps. nothing. didnt try mobile browser yet. i guess its going to be a slow rollout, but we need some screenshots dude. or at least tell us where to look.

but in my frustration, i found a chase pay fuel rewards offer. totally ignored it previously since i thought it was only for new users. but i guess its OK for current users too? who knows. its useful for some.

Hey Ninja – thanks for the Shell / Chase Pay combo. I just added that today.

I found the Chase Offers on my mobile at the bottom of the screen when scrolling past all my cards. It also appears when you select a card to view transactions and scroll all the way down.

I have four uninspiring offers: 10% back at Supercuts, Smart Style (some hair salon thing at WalMart), Zoes Kitchen and Proactiv. Well, I guess it’s a start but I don’t buy anything from those companies. Hopefully better deals are coming.

appreciate the response. glad the shell promo is something you can use.

yea, i looked at both apps and assumed it should show up in the chase pay app, but I guess its actually in the main banking app right? i checked both. scrolled down. nothing yet. no tab. no section for deals. i assume its not rolled out to me yet.

thank you for the info.

Yes to the main banking app. I’m now actually seeing offers differ based on the card selected, and some cards have no current offers.
