GameFly
TopCashBack is currently offering $15 for signing up for a monthly video game subscription with GameFly.
GameFly offers the first month free for first-time subscribers. You can easily sign up for the trial month, cancel within 30 days, and pocket the free $15 from TopCashBack. The signup does require a credit card payment method in order to charge you for the second month and on, but if you cancel within 30 days there won’t be any charge on the credit card.
The terms don’t say anything about how long the subscription needs to last, so we should be eligible for the $15 even if we cancel right away.
I signed up last week, and the $15 showed up as pending in my Topcashback account within 12 hours. I then went and cancelled my gamefly membership at this link.
Some people have problems with the cash-back tracking properly, but you should be able to submit a missing cash-back claim, even if you already cancelled.
Other Opportunities
- We’ve written about a free money opportunity on Topcashback with Audible. Â See this post for all the details. In the past the offer was either $15 or $31, with the cost of $14.98 for the first two months membership. Currently, they’re offering $25, which will end up being a $10.02 moneymaker after the $14.98. I don’t know whether this will ever go back to $31, so you may have to decide if it’s worth it for you at this amount. I was lucky to get in on the $31 deal, and I even somehow managed to get away with paying just one month membership, by playing the cards right.
- Sign up for spam from MyHabit and get $2. Here’s the topcashback link. I signed up a while ago with my spam email address which is dedicated for these purposes and I already got the $2 paid out.
- Sign up for spam from Gilt and get $1.50. Here’s the topcashback link. I did this too with my spam email address. Many of us, myself included, did not have the Gilt cash track properly. I submitted a missing cash-back claim a while back and I still haven’t heard back from them.
Final Thoughts
The GameFly offer sounds particularly good, in my opinion. I’d recommend everyone signing up for it, but be sure to cancel the membership within the month, so as not to get charged for the second month.
