Affiniti Finance Trade Associations Business Cards: $500 Bonus, 2.1% On All Spend & More

Affiniti Finance has partnered with a number of trade associations to offer a World Elite Business Mastercard. The card basics are as follows:

  • $500 sign up bonus when you spend $30,000 within the first three months of account opening
  • No annual fees
  • Card earns 2.1%-2.25% cash back on all purchases when you pay your bill weekly and 5% back on different categories based on the trade association (caped at $5,000 in spend per year)

A full list of the trade associations is available on their website. Earning anything above 2% cash back on all purchases is always interesting, you do need to be a member of these trade organizations to apply.

I’m guessing “I’ve been self employed for thirty effing years” is *not* one of the trade associations.

Pretty much all of these require memberships that are $400+ annually. So your SUB would be much smaller than you think, in addition to needing weekly autopay.

Atrocious SUB but potentially good card

I don’t know how I feel about having to pay the card off weekly as opposed to monthly.

I’m betting that the United Churners Association isn’t on the list.

Only a $500 bonus for $30k spend seems crazy. But, I guess adding in the 2.1% cashback on that $30k spend would get another $630. All in all it would be $1130 for $30k spend.

Still 1/3rd of what it should be.

A $500 bonus over $30,000 in spend + the normal 2.1% normal spend = a total composite rate of 3.76%. And that’s only IF you have a way to spend $30K in six months.

Unless you actually own a legit business with tons of credit card expenses or you have a way to easily and scalably MS, I don’t think this card is for most people here.
