Alaska Airline miles can now be redeemed for travel on Singapore Airlines. In August, 2017 these airlines announced a partnership and in September 2017 reciprocal mileage earning between the two programs went live and it became possible to redeem Singapore airline miles for travel on Alaska so this has been a long time coming. Feel free to share any sweet spots you notice in the comments below.

Alaska has removed the generous stop over on the one way ticket within Asia as of Oct 16. Hat tip to Shutterwhale.

I can also personally confirm this devaluation because I just lost the opportunity to book a one-way ticket routing through TPE-SIN-HKG via Alaska miles on Singapore Airlines’ flights.
Pricing seems pretty terrible. 95K from the US to Singapore in Y, 260K in F. 140K from the US to the South Pacific in Y, 380K in F! And it gets worse the farther you are from Singapore. Hard to see any value here.
No, I won’t use my precious Alaska miles for a terrible redemption value on Singapore Airlines.
Does it include silkair as well? They allow backtrack so it’s really nice to book 2 Asia destination with stop over in sin for 25k J 25k F. For example bkk to sin, sin to pek as 1 ticket.
Is this considered backtracking or just a one-way BKK-PEK with SIN as a stopover? If so, this sounds similar to Alaska miles with JAL where you route from anywhere in Asia/India through Japan as a stopover and then go back to Asia/India all for 25k in J.
I think so, as far as I know they allow bkk to hkg via sin which is definitely a backtracking route.
You can only use Alaska miles on flights departing or arriving in the US, so this would not work.
They are already up on the app, I was able to book bkk to hkg via sin for 25k miles. The departing or arriving us rule doesn’t seem to affect sq award so far
