This is always a popular deal when it comes around. It used to be called Microsoft Office 365 Home and now is rebranded to Microsoft 365 Family. The regular price on Microsoft is $99.99.Â
I do this deal every year. Rock solid value, tho I still wish I had the classic Office which did not require a subscription!
You can still buy a (one-time purchase, lifetime) license to Microsoft Office 2021 on Windows or Mac. 2021 (I believe) being the most recent version.

most people (including me) buy the 365 deal for the 5TB (1TBx5) of cloud storage. For office stuff I like OpenOffice or LibreOffice better and open source and free.
Have that myself, refuse to go sub on Microsoft. I don’t use it enough to justify.

From my DPs last time: you can first buy a bunch of personal subscriptions, then add one of these family ones, and it’ll convert all your personal subscriptions into family ones.

Can you use this to extend an already active 365 Family subscription?

Yes, and with a caveat. I’ve been purchasing discounted Keys when they’re on sale, bought this. It activated, showing a “renewal” success. My current O365 subscription prior to the activation was Nov 2023, with the purchase of this my updated existing subscription shows as managed by Amazon and expires in February 2025.
So, my active existing subscription was extended the 15 months (which is what I wanted), now it’s tied to my Amazon account (which I didn’t want).
