Our Verdict
Seems like these are from Amazon’s own snack line, maybe a new line they are trying to promote (?). If you have more than one Prime account (e.g. Amazon Household), you can do the deal once on each account.
If you have an item to buy on Amazon, that’s the easiest. Otherwise, it might be worth buying a third-party gift card to get the free snack. Only physical gift cards seem to work and they seem to need to ship at the same time as the snack otherwise it won’t work. They won’t work on Amazon gift cards either, only third party.

I found a method that seems to work well for filtering the gift cards that will work with this promo. Both my fiance and I were able to take advantage of the free snack code, me with a Starbucks card and him with Krispy Kreme.
1. Click through DOC’s referral link to add your preferred snacks to your cart, then at the top of the page under the search bar is a link that says “Gift Cards & Registry.”
2. Click that link, then choose “Send a Gift Card By Mail,” as it seems you need to purchase a physical gift card for the promo.
3. In this new window, go to the left sidebar where the filter/search options are.
4. Under Featured Brands, uncheck Amazon (as the Amazon cards don’t seem to work with the PRIMESNACK promotion).
5. Then a little further down on the left side is a checkbox for Amazon Prime. You DO want to check that, as this will now show only those gift cards that are Prime eligible.
From here, find a gift card you’d like in a $25 denomination (apply additional filters for price and category, if desired) and it should work with the promo.
Awesome, thanks Holly!
I wasn’t able to get it to work on any e-gift cards, so I ended up getting a Whole Foods physical card.
yea not working with an amazon.com gift card
I was only able to get it to work on non-variable load GCs (so the hotels.com eGC that you can pick the value of didn’t work, but the fixed $50/100/250 ones did)
