Update 12/5/19: Deal is back, this time there is a single $.99 cost for the first 3 months, after 3 months it renews at the regular $9.99/mo. Prime not required. I’m seeing it on all accounts I’ve checked, but some people are not getting the deal this time.
Update 11/22/19: Deal available again ahead of Black Friday. Prime not required this time
Update 7/16/19: Seems to be working even if you were an existing member. Hat tip to Running With Miles

Our Verdict
This is a pretty nice offer instead of the standard 30 day trial; they come out with similar deals periodically. I’m not positive this will work for those who have used Kindle Unlimited in the past; let us know, and I’ll update the post. There’s also a deal to get 2 months for $.99 which is useful for those without Prime.
Keep in mind, taking advantage of this trial offer does subscribes you to the service. Be sure to cancel before the three months are up if you don’t want to get automatically charged $9.99 per month. You can even cancel right after signing up and still enjoy the 3 months free.
Full list of available books through this service can be found here.
BTW, this is NOT “Prime Only” deal. I don’t have prime and I got it.
Yep, we noted the same. Thanks
Under fine print it still says Prime only.
Hmm, I’m seeing it on a non-Prime account.
I can’t get this offer to come up. I was a kindle unlimited member, I just cancelled. The new offer doesn’t appear like previous times I’ve tried. Did get an offer of $1.99 for 3 months in the process of cancelling but I didn’t accept it then and now it’s gone also. grrr
I see the following after subscription
“Your subscription will renew for $0.99 plus tax on March 5, 2020”
It will be great if they renew for $0.99/month
Saw someone on SD mentioning this as well. I didn’t mention it since others are not seeing that, plus, it’s hard to know if it’ll actually remain that way.
Thanks! Deal wasn’t showing up for me when it was Black Friday, glad to see it shows up as an option now!
Great deal! Thanks for posting.
This deal showed up for me so Prime not required.
I used a 30-day free trial offer once previously (about 2 yrs ago), this time I am offered another 30-day free trial or 6-mo for 29.97. Prime user.
I received only an offer for 6 months for $29.97; no option for 3 months at $0. I have taken advantage of other free KU offers before.
