Amazon Music Unlimited Now Only $0.99 Per Month For Prime Students

Amazon has launched special pricing for Amazon Music Unlimited. Prime Student members will now only pay $0.99 per month (our affiliate link here & below), the standard price is $7.99 per month so this is a significant discount. If you don’t have a Prime Student account but are a student, you can get a free six month trial here. Existing music unlimited customers can get this new pricing as well, although it looks like you’ll need to change the option in the Amazon app (not a student so not exactly sure how to do this).

Was on the fence if the service is worth 0.99, but then I realized I can have it for free, so I signed up.

I used a dormant card that reimburse the small amount.

From multiple available options, I chose Capital One. 0.99 per month is a small price for not taking proper care of my credit card application data. 🙂

Asked their chat person if I could convert my existing prime membership to student and be issued a pro-rated refund and they say no refund is possible as long as any of the prime benefits have been used since purchase (free shipping, in my case.) Seems to me that there should be an exception to that if you are asking to convert from normal prime to prime student, but oh well…

I received an email stating new pricing starting at .99 will be charged to my card starting this month. I am a current music unlimited student. No action is required

FYI you can pay for amazon music annually and it’s a pretty decent discount over the monthly cost.

Can I use no-rush credit to cover the membership?

Prime Music used be fantastic I’ve tried AM Unlimited a few times -currently giving a .99 for month return run again. So disappointing.

So much of the Music that disappeared under free program has also now disappeared under Unlimited. As well I have to unlock phone and open app part of the time to resume playing -.

Spotify pairs and plays automatically from my phone when I get in my vehicle and I can use lock screen or watch to control playback.

Amazon music unlimited isn’t even worth .99/mo anymore (although I do prefer app and features over Spotify premium.

Actually edu email is not enough for Music deal. They use a 3rd party Co to verify that you are actually a student.
Interestigly, to become Prime Student member, indeed all you need is edu email.
