[Update 3/20/20: Amazon now has an official landing page advertising this.]
Due to the increased demand Amazon is currently experiencing they are offering a $1.50 digital credit when Prime members select no rush shipping at check out (normally $1). Dans Deals has a good post on turning that digital credit into Amazon credit that I’d recommend reading here.
Hat tip to Dans Deals
It seems Amazon is giving directly 10% off instant discount for no-rush credit for some items.
Get up to 10% instant discount. Maximum discount per order is $3.50.
I am an Amazon prime member but the digital credits get suspended at checkout. Seems like no more digital credits? Anyone else getting that?
It seems the no rush credit went back to $1.50 again now.
Same.
I ordered the Fire stick 4K ($25 off for Prime) on the 21st around 8:20 EDT. It said $1.50 digital credit. Since I chose that option, I can’t say if it will be $1.50 or $3.00 as it hasn’t shipped yet.
won’t be much longer before they stop delivering non-essentials like they did in France and Italy
yep, it just happened.
please don’t order crap you don’t need right now and please don’t encourage others by asking them what they found for $3. We don’t need to be clogging the shipping pipeline or endangering our delivery workers by ordering non-essentials. We are all in this together!
Please sit this out. Don’t order unnecessary crap. Be respectful of those workers risking their health so you can game this.

For the past few days, I haven’t have a choice of shipping options. It’s slow delivery without any digital credit. Maybe it’s region specific?
Looks like it’s non-essential vs. essential (plus some favored products like the Echo). Paper shredder: No shipping options. Diapers: $3 digital credit option.
Would rather let them deliver late and get my $5 credit towards any item.
Got the dental floss pack with $3 credit
How do you get it to apply for non digital stuff?
