Amazon Prime Day 2018 Stickied Post

Amazon Prime Day 2018 is upon us. This year Prime Day runs for 36 hours total, beginning Monday July 16th at noon PST and running until midnight PST on July 17th. These deals are available to Amazon Prime members only.

We’ll leave this post stickied to the top throughout Prime Day; regular blog posts will continue to show up on the homepage below this page. We’ll add smaller deals to this page and broader deals arise will get a dedicated post as well as being added to this page. Let us know in the comments if you see something interesting.

Links in this post contain our Amazon affiliate link (big thanks to those who support the site). Since the JetBlue portal died, we aren’t aware of any portals who offer rewards on standard Amazon purchases. There are some portals who offer cashback on select Amazon categories, such as clothing and furniture. See portal options here. Check our Complete Guide To Saving Money On Amazon (Save 8% – 27%+) for year-round tips and tricks to save money on Amazon shopping.

Will/Chuck,
Thanks for this page. I was thinking you should let us know when you go to sleep so we stop pushing F5 every minute 😀

I think prime day is pretty much dead at this stage, if there is anything really interesting I suspected we’d do a dedicated post.

It sucks when you have non-buyers remorse looking at the revised prices. I guess I will get over it. Hashtag I want $3 easy mac & cheese. 🙂

It happens. I think Prime orders jump the line, or maybe it’s back-ordered and they just don’t come out and say that. Instead, it’s being “processed”.

Bored and decided to give the Panera card a go for the heck of it. I brought up the atomic clock and went to the link the exact second it went live. I made it to the waitlist. I feel like that is an accomplishment in and of itself! In retrospect needed to go a second before…

Live within walking distance to a Panera… but I was a a little slow on the draw for the GC.

I was feeling a little sorry for myself last week when I needed a bunch of Airbnb gift cards and could only make it happen for 20% off. Was so jealous to hear of people doing the Amazon GC repeat-dip (or whatever you call it).

Today, it worked for me, though (I have 2 separate prime accounts). $600 in cards for $400 (plus 2 MR points… :-))

Frankly, this is all too exhausting.

The $5 camera app search allowed me to use it on the Bose headphones. Eligible Deals change every 6 hours. I think I saw an Amazon show there as well. Only 6 products to choose from.

Not a massive deal, but Amazon Dash buttons are all free after applying the Amex 20% off. $4.99 regular price marked down to $0.99 for prime day, with $0.99 taken off via Amex. I Just bought 6 of them for $0.00 and 0 MR points redeemed.

According to 3rd party posts, the full $4.99 Amazon credit after 1st use remains active on the Prime day Dash’s, making it a money maker if the buttons link to product listings that one would normally purchase. Also the buttons are said to be hackable for anyone into IoT stuff.

I think Dash buttons are silly, but maybe I am not getting it. Are we really supposed to paste these buttons all over the house? Do I get to select the size refill I am ordering? Am I getting the best price? $5 off is nice, but if that $15 bundle of whatever is $6 overpriced, where is the savings? What if I want select-a-size Bounty paper towels and not regular-sized this week? Convenience is nice, but are we really that worried about running out of soap, personal care items, and paper products?

Seems to me, someone like Amazon should have an app with common household goods that gives a little more intuitiveness but still makes reordering simple. Like maybe a service that asks these questions once a week, and in return, we would get a 20% discount for ordering in bulk and all at once. A small tablet, pasted on the refrigerator door maybe… and competing products/companies, or retailers, bid for our business?

Just an idea – and if someone here makes millions off it I just want 1 million. Thanks in advance.

your affiliate links are not working in office …if you could find another way to redirect to the product using affiliate links that would be nice since I want to support DOC

Is there a trick to get this one working or is it simply dead?
Anova Culinary Sous Vide Precision Cooker | WI-FI + Bluetooth | 900W for $69.99 at checkout (regular $199)

Showing up $108.96 for me in shopping cart and during checkout.

The price listed is using the Amex/Amazon 20% off deal for 1 MR point. First one under general deals. It stacks with prime day.
