• Amazon is offering their Synchrony Amazon Prime store cardholders a 20% discount on items sold and shipped by Amazon when you activate at the above link and use at least 1 credit card point at checkout. Max $10 discount.

The Fine Print

• This is a limited time offer. The promotion will end on the earlier of (a) 11:59PM PT on 6/19/2021, or (b) when Amazon determines that 19,500 customers have redeemed the offer. The promotion button will expire concurrently. (Editor’s note: I assume the 2021 is a typo and should say 2022; in practice this promo is working at the time of this posting.) 
• Amazon.com reserves the rights to cancel or modify this offer at any time.
• Offer is available by invitation only, is non-transferable, is not redeemable for cash, and may not be resold.
• Offer applies only to purchase of eligible products, where Prime Store Card rewards points are used for at least a portion of the purchase and the promotion is activated and applied at checkout.
• Offer only applies to products sold by Amazon.com or Amazon.com Services LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon.com Services LLC ” on the product detail page). Products sold by third-party sellers or other Amazon entities will not qualify for this offer, even if “fulfilled by Amazon.com” or “Prime Eligible”.

Our Verdict

Nice to see a new shop-with-points offer with an issuer we have not seen in the past. Easy $10 discount. This offer might be working for all Amazon Synchrony store cardholders, and even for those who do not have Prime. But it’s possible that it’s targeted or that it only works for Prime members.

Personally the promo is showing for me, but my Prime store card has a $0 rewards balance. I’ll do a $1 Amazon reload to get myself 5 reward points at statement close and then I should be able to take part in this promotion.

This promo will work on any item sold by Amazon themselves. Typically these promotions do work on third-party gift cards and e-gift cards sold by Amazon. They sell a wide variety to places like Best Buy, Starbucks, Uber, Southwest, DoorDash, Netflix, Lowe’s and hundreds more.
