Amazon: Save up to $40 on Kindle Readers by using Membership Rewards Discount + Amazon Discount [Kindle as Low as $19.99]

The Offer

Direct Link to offer (links contain our affiliate – offer might be targeted or only available for Prime members)

Amazon is offering $30 Kindle E-readers and $40 off Kindle Paperwhite E-readers when using at least 1 Membership Rewards point. There’s a separate deal we posted about a few days ago to get $20-$40 off a Fire tablet. This post is about a deal to get $30 or $40 off Kindle E-reader devices.

The Fine Print

  • Click to Activate‘ before using the offer.
  • You can use even 1 Membership Rewards point and get the discount.
  • Limit one coupon code per order. (You can do more than one order.)
  • Offer is available by invitation only.
  • Offer applies only when purchase is made with an eligible American Express card, where Membership Rewards points are used for at least a portion of the purchase and the promotion code is applied at checkout. You’ll have to activate Shop with Points on your Amex card if you haven’t done that already.

Our Verdict

Seems like the offer might be working on some items or colors but not others. If all works out, you can buy quite a few Kindle’s at an excellent price if that interests you. The best deal is the $80 Kindle for just $20, mentioned above, which will only work once. You should also be able to go through a portal for a further 8% cash back. Kindles are excluded unfortunately.

$40 off on the black Kindle E-Reader is still working as of 8AM EST. You have to activate the $40 off Kindle Paperwhite promo for it to apply on the black non-paperwhite device. Good find. Thanks guys.

Oh sorry I totally missed the update in this post. I actually bought this a few days ago and there was a prime student promotion for $30 off and it stacks with the MR $40 off promo.

Kindle is likely included. There’s a 8% category for “Amazon Devices & Select Accessories” and there’s a quick link for “Kindle” in that category box.

Yeah topcashback looks fine to me. It says no kindle ebooks or accessories, but nothing about the devices themselves.

Excludes: Non Echo Smart Home Devices with Alexa, Echo Accessories, Echo Look, Cloud Cam, Element TV, Kindle Accessories, Kindle eBooks, Dash IoT Button

i was able to get the $40 off deal. Currently 9:30 PM HST Monday night. Total $20.92 with tax. I’m pretty sure I triggered Top Cash Back as well.
Thanks,

No longer giving $19.99
Probably the reason it was giving $19.99 because it was listed on the promo page (where you activate) as $49.99 price but it’s all messed up now.

In my case it gives me a $30 Kindle promotion discount but doesn’t let me apply MR Points at all. Weird.

Ok I bit. What do I need to know about a Kindle? What are the special offers?

The ads only appear when your Kindle is asleep- you don’t have anything interrupting you or taking up space when you’re actually reading.

You can wait a month or 2 and go to a chat and ask if they can remove the special offers. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of anyone getting denied. They do it as a courtesy.

I had mine removed within that week. At first there was push back so I asked that they generate a return label for me and they removed it there and then.
