Our Verdict
We’ve never seen the 1-pack at this low price before. The 4-pack is also a good price, though we have seen those for $3-$5 lower in the past. Try going through a shopping portal and stack this with Shop With Points deals and Amex Offers or Chase Offer. Or use Chase Freedom via Paypal on Walmart to earn 5x. Extended holiday returns are in effect now.
Do not overpay for the cases. There are many companies that will overcharge you $25 for some cheap piece of plastic to simply hold the airtag

It sounds great on paper.
But I have a very hard time coming up with uses for these to justify paying $20-$25 per pop + taxes.
Really? We put them in each of our vehicles, boats, car keys, backpack, luggage, valuable items when we travel… so many uses.
And people use it to track other people
I’m not in love with attaching them to anything I move about with regularly, but there’s a good case for sticking one in your luggage when you’re flying.
Car key (unless tesla). Car (if not tesla). Luggage.
For car and luggage you want to have them hidden (some other products). If anyone steals it, you can track it.
My in-laws have airtags on their cats’ collars, because the cats like to hide in the house so well that the humans end up thinking the cat has definitely escaped, and start scouring the neighborhood, only to come home and find said cat sitting in the living room like nothing happened. An airtag might not get you TO the cat, but it’ll let you know they’re probably still inside the house.
