American Express Adds A Minimum Spend Sign Up Bonus Tracker [Beta]

American Express is showing some selected cardholders a ‘Welcome Bonus’ tracker that shows how much of the minimum spend requirement they have completed. The new tracker isn’t showing up for everybody as American Express is testing it first. It seems like it’s being rolled out to some new cardholders, it shows how much more you need to spend but not how long you have to spend it. Chase added a similar feature in April of 2019.

I see it on my Gold, but not the Platinum or Aspire that I signed up for earlier this year. A pretty cool feature that I definitely appreciate!

Adding such a tracker is very pricey. Be prepared for a raised annual fee, lol.

Yes, I’ve had it since I signed up the gold card in February.

Just an FYI, I also have a tracker for my delta platinum where it shows how much money I have to spend to get my additional 10000 MQMs.

Website dashboard near your MR pts balance — I don’t have it on mine (got Plat a month ago for 75k bonus offer)

Weirdly Amex in the UK have had this feature for years, despite the fact that it’s clearly running the same software as Amex here

Probably Amex US just loves to deny the sub after meeting spend
