[Expired] American Express Amazon Prime Business Card – Bonus Increased To $225

Update 7/3/20: Back to $125. View more credit card bonuses by clicking here.

Update 5/14/20: Showing as $225 again, I had to open in incognito mode to see this offer otherwise it was $200.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • There is an increased bonus on the American Express Amazon Prime Business card. You get the standard $125 Amazon gift card on approval with an eligible Prime membership and you also get a $100 statement credit after you spend $3,000 on the card in the 2% back and 1% back categories in the first 3 months (e.g Amazon purchases do not count).

Card Details

  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 5% cash back or 90 days interest free on purchases at Amazon Business, AWS, Amazon.com and Whole Foods Market (3%/60 days interest free without prime)
    • 2% back at U.S. restaurants, U.S. gas stations and on wireless telephone services
    • 1% back on all other purchases
  • $0 annual fee
  • Free Business Prime

Our Verdict

Standard bonus on this card is just the $125 gift card, although we’ve seen that increase to $150 sometimes. This is the biggest offer we’ve seen on this card. It’s a shame spending on Amazon doesn’t qualify for the $3,000 spend required. I’ll still be adding this to our list of the best business credit card bonuses.

I think it’s back to standard offer of $125 gift card (tried various browser incognitos and searched).

DP: 60-sec decision said was being reviewed, got email 1 minute later that decision was made denial. I have BlueCash Everyday, Delta Platinum, Hilton Honors and Marriott Biz. No sign of hard pull.

I got email saying they need more info but didn’t say what kind of info they need.

It’s likely you got hit with the new 4-slot rule. There are many mixed DP currently and some are getting declined for the 5th card while holding 4.

For 3000 spending, you can get $500 bonus with opening another card.

This is a nice card to pick up because Amex business cards have zero impact on your credit report if you’re already an Amex customer. A reasonable choice for those who have already picked the low hanging fruit.

Nothing new here for me either. It’s been showing the $125 gift card plus $100 statement credit after $3,000 spend for weeks now.

Is it $225+$100 now or still $125+$100? Because it’s been $125+100 for weeks on my account.

Hey DOC a big hol’up for this card was “wait for referrals” but with self-refs nerfed is there any point in waiting’s around? I think this card is probably not for everyone and if it pushes against your 5 card limit then it’s not a grand slam, but for people who never got the chase card, it’s not a bad idea if they are regular amazon shoppers.

Business cards don’t count against 5/24

But they do count against the limit of having 5 AMEX credit cards at one time.

This is what I was referring to thanks. People really seem to think 5/24 is the only rule decisions are made over.
