    • $125 after you’re approved by submitting a separate Slickdeals form

Card Details

  • 2% cash back at U.S. gas stations and at select U.S. department stores
  • 1% back on other purchases
  • Low intro APR: 0% for 15 months on purchases and balance transfers, then a variable rate

Our Verdict

Standard offer on Blue Cash Everyday is currently at $150, or $200 via a referral. $275 is the best-ever public signup offer on the Blue Cash Everyday, though we have seen some more complicated offers for more, as well as YMMV incognito offers.

We posted a similar kind of offer for the Amex Platinum card with an extra Slickdeals bonus, though in that case it’s not actually the best-ever offer.

There is a small pain/risk in using this Slickdeals offer. Regardless, if you are in the market for the card, it probably makes sense to do this as $275 is a solid offer for the card. As always, read these things everybody should know about American Express cards before applying.

If you don’t want to waste your time with the Slickdeals rebate, I have the new $200 referral links available for the AMEX Blue Cash Everyday Card. Email me your first name at [edited] and put “AMEX BLUE CASH REFERRAL” in the title.

Just received the $125 bonus from Slickdeals. Opened AMEX card on Aug 26 so only 3 weeks to get the bonus, not bad.

Got this response when I went to apply for the card: based on your history with American Express welcome offers, introductory APR offers, or the number of cards you have opened and closed, you are not eligible to receive this welcome offer

I’ve done 3 slickdeals rebates and received them all. One of them was actually a bit of a problem since the item was backordered, but when I sent a follow up email or two, I was paid the rebate. A little hassle on that one, but I understand given that the item shipped very late.

I also got this offer but watch out Annual Fee is not waived for the first year. Positive side is no Hard pull.

Wrong version of the card; you’re thinking preferred

SMan is replying to Jx who said BCP which is Blue Cash Preferred. Jx got an upgrade offer for $250 for 2k spend and SMan was warning him the 1st year annual fee on that offer is not waived (it would be waived if he applied for a new card instead of upgraded).

How come negative comments about Slickdeals are from first-time posters? Funny coincidence.

One of them has 380 comments. Sometimes it’s just that people will never comment unless it’s a company that has wronged them somehow

I was approved for the card. And they took the form. I will update based on if Slickdeals keeps their end, as that is why I apped for the card. If I need to, I will get creative in getting the $1000 spend done. I try to maximize and generally to limit spending.

You don’t spend $333 a month organically?! Good for you!

I do. But somehow, I don’t think I can hand over a credit card to pay my rent. And besides, I’m trying to minimize my stuff, and in turn my spending.

My grocery spend (2 players) alone might almost reach that number… We need to control ourselves more then…

“But somehow, I don’t think I can hand over a credit card to pay my rent.”
You most certainly can. Plastiq is the best option to pay your rent in my opinion, but there are at least half a dozen options that I know of. DOC has write-ups on most of them.

Of course, if this is just for the BCE cashback bonus, you’re not going to want to swallow a 2.5% fee for more than you’ll need for the MSR.

That is my point. I meant a fee free option. I’d rather take a small 1-2% hit on a small amount of the $1000 spend than a 2.5% hit for all of it.

Easiest way is to simply pay your bills with c.c. I could hit the bonus with auto insurance $200 and phone bill $150-(2lines) alone. Still leaves the electric, cable/internet, groceries, gas.. You mention rent so i would assume you have some bills to pay? maybe pay a bill or 2 of someone else’s and have them give you the cash to supplement your spending. Back when i was out of work for too long, i used to pay the dinner bill with friends and they would give me cash to help make minimum payments.
