(Update: now $200 twice per year)
One of the new benefits on the American Express Business Platinum card is the $200 Dell annual benefit. Good news is that it’s already showing in the online login as an available benefit for current Business Platinum cardholders.
The way the Dell credit works is you get $100 credit on purchases made from January through June and another $100 credit on purchases made from July through December. You need to enroll before doing the spend in order to get the credit. You’ll get an email confirmation after enrolling. It’s all exactly the same way the annual Saks credit works on the personal Platinum card.
More Details and Enrollment for the Dell Credit Here
Here are the official terms (bolding mine):
Get up to $100 in statement credits between January and June and up to $100 in statement credits between July and December for U.S. purchases with Dell on your Business Platinum Card. That’s up to $200 in statement credits annually. Enrollment required.
Only the Basic Card Member or Authorized Account Manager(s) on a Business Platinum Card® Account can enroll the Card Account in the benefit. Eligible purchases must be charged to the enrolled Card Account for the benefit to apply. Purchases by both the enrolled Basic Card Member and Employee Card Members on the enrolled Card Account are eligible for statement credits. However, each Card Account is only eligible for up to $100 in statement credits between January and June and up to $100 in statement credits between July and December for a total of $200 per calendar year in statement credits across all Cards on the enrolled Card Account. Valid only on purchases made directly with Dell or at dell.com in the US and US Territories where Dell is the merchant of record for the purchase. Not valid on online purchases shipped outside of the US. Please allow 2-4 weeks after an eligible purchase is charged to your Card Account for statement credit(s) to be posted to the Account. Please call the number on the back of the Card if statement credits have not posted after 4 weeks from the date of purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your eligible purchase from merchant until all items from your eligible purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if the eligible purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as eligible for the benefit, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not be eligible if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. To be eligible for this benefit, Card Account(s) must be not canceled and not past due at the time of statement credits fulfillment. For additional information, call the number on the back of your Card.
I don’t believe it’s possible to buy Dell gift cards directly on the Dell.com site, only through Cashstar which likely won’t work to trigger the credit. You can trigger the credit with an XBOX digital gift card if you’re into that or other digital software like TurboTax or Microsoft Office. (You’ll find your digital purchases in your Dell Digital Locker.)
You can use up to 3 credit cards to pay for a purchase on Dell.com; if you have more than one Platinum card or if you have one and your spouse/friend has another, you can pool and buy a single $200 item, or even $300 with three cards. Regardless, be sure to pay directly, not via Paypal.
Dell has a Prime Match Guarantee. Also worth noting that there are often Amex Offers available at Dell.com. Currently, there’s an offer through June 2019 to get 10% back on your Dell.com purchase. If you see that offer, be sure to save it on your business Platinum card. You should get both the $100 credit and the 10% back to turn this into a small profit. Remember to go through a Shopping portal as well.
Personally, I have two Business Platinum cards which I got due to upgrade offers. It’s sweet to get this added benefit without having to pay the higher annual fee – that’ll hit on my next annual fee at which time I’ll likely cancel the card. (Quick tip for those with two cards in the same login: I had to remove one and create a separate login in order to enroll the second Platinum card in the Dell benefit due to technical issue.)
Please let us know if you have any good ideas of what to do with the $100. Check out post on maximizing and FAQ on the Dell credit here.

Accidentally added the 10% off Dell offer to another card. Called and Chat with CRS but they won’t move that offer to my Amex Biz Plat card. Called and tried to get it removed from my other card and they can’t even remove the offer. Suggestions as a work around?
Any recent DPs on Xbox gift certificates working?
They work, it’s just accessing them at the Dell digital locker that sucks.
Anyone get statement credit for gift cards? I was too scurred to try it.
So much work to get $100. First they canceled my $100 Xbox gift card order. I called and was told they were out of stock. Now I tried to order a $90+$10 and it’s adding tax!
It’s going to be a tough decision whether to renew later this year. The Dell credit is better than nothing to make up for the increase. Went to buy some memory and drives to burn up the credit but they’re $30-60 higher than Amazon. Asked for a price match and that takes 1-2 days for approval (wth?). Sure it’s free/nearly free stuff but I’d rather just have the fee not be increased.
The WeWork offer goes live on 2/8. I can’t imagine using that for more than a place to stop when nearby and hope they offer beer (and I understand that’s now limited if it’s even offered anymore). https://www.wework.com/businessplatinum
Upgraded to the Bose QC 35 ii for $103! Screaming deal. Had 2 Biz Plats (me and P2), added the Dell.com 10% offer to both, and went thru topcashback for an extra 5%, plus got $25 from DoC’s TCB new user link. $350 + $35 tax – $100 – $100 – $38 (Dell offer) – $19 (TCB) – $25 (TCB new user) = $103. Have had my QC 15’s for 9 years now and have been eyeing the 35’s for a while now. Thanks, as always, DoC!
ah, didn’t check or see DoC’s recent TCB referral link for $25 although got referred by family for $10
needed a smaller tv so bought a LG 43″ currently on sale for $269; after a $100 & 10% credit from amex along with 5% cb from TCB, net pay will be about $150 after tax for the tv
Xbox live gift cards are not processing very fast. Been about 12 hours since purchase now, no digital delivery yet.
Just in case you haven’t figured it out yet. Apparently dell dosen’t email the codes, they have something called a “digital locker” you have to go to for the code. https://www.dell.com/support/software/us/en/04
Can these be easily sold on Ebay?
Sucks it’s split into 2 halves of year and not one instant credit like AFC
Anyway, what to buy from
DELL? They don’t sell Apple AirPods right?
Do XBOX GC’s qualify for the Dell Credit?
They have Jabra wireless earbuds, the Elite 65t and Elite Active 65t.
Do Xbox GC’s work : You would be well served if you read other posts here first.
is it $200/account or per card? do AU get their own $200/YEAR?
There are virtually no credit cards with per card/AU credits. (The only exception I’m aware of is the CNB Crystal card.)
In general you are right, but there are more cases

Plus TSA credit is per card on Amex Plat Personal (where each AU gest Gold)… basically you can get 99 TSA credits with no AF per AU card.
