Our Verdict

This bonus isn’t unusual to see, but usually it’s 70,000 miles for $5,000 total spend. This requires $7,000 total spend and you only get 5,000 MQM rather than 10,000. Personally I’d just wait for a better offer to come along. If you have any questions, they are probably answered in our post about things you should know about American Express credit cards. I won’t be adding this to the best credit card bonuses available due to better offers on this card being offered previously.

Hat tip to (honestly i’m not sure, I know others posted about it first but I can’t remember who posted about it first as my old laptop died with that info. Sorry!)

Would you know, if I just closed my AMEX delta GOLD business card after having it for 1 year… would I be eligible for this bonus if I applied? since it is a PLATINUM card and thus a different card. TIA~~~

Thanks for the good honest review William! Unlike other blogs, you compare this Amex offer to previous Amex offers that helps a lot in rational decision making and not buying into marketing hype!

Anyone know how long I have to get the $100 statement credit? I’ve had the card for over 3 months and just haven’t been able to get a simple transaction with Delta. I have platinum status and any fees are waived and I get free drinks in first =[

And the fares, of course, are paid on my company card. If I’m still eligible I think I’ll just buy the lowest amount of miles… that my best option?

Just grab a $50 Delta gift card (electronic is OK, buy on desktop not mobile).

One option is to purchase a $3 snack on a Delta flight.

It has to be a decent length flight. On a short flight, the FA wouldn’t sell be a bloody thing.
