• American Express has increased the sign up bonus on the personal & business versions of the Delta Gold card. Bonus is as follows:
  • 50,000 miles after $2,000 in spend within the first three months
  • Additional 10,000 miles after an additional $1,000 in spend within the first 6 months
  • $50 statement credit after your first Delta purchase

Card Details

• Offer expires 4/11/18
• Annual fee of $95 is waived
• Card earns at the following rates:
  • 2x miles on all purchases made directly with Delta
  • 1x miles on all other purchases
• No foreign transaction fees
• You cannot get the bonus on the cards if you’ve ever had the card before
• Delta MQD Waiver For Diamond To Be Increased To $250,000 (From $25,000) For 2019 Qualification Year

Our Verdict

This isn’t the highest bonus we’ve see on this card. We have seen the following before:

• 60k miles + $100 statement credit
• 75k miles + $50 statement credit

Because of those offers and the fact we see this particular offer so often, I’d actually recommend waiting until the bonus increases on this card unless you have a real short term need for Delta miles and in that case it might make more sense to get the Delta Platinum cards as I don’t see the sign up bonus on those increasing with the same likelihood (although I can easily be wrong). Because of that this won’t be added to the best credit card bonuses.
