American Express Delta Platinum 70,000 Mile Offer (Sucks)

I’m going to keep this post short because we all lead busy lives. American Express is offering 70,000 miles on the Delta Platinum card. You should wait for a better bonus, as they frequently come with a $100 statement credit as well. The personal offer is even worse than the business offer as it only gives 5,000 MQM instead of the usual 10,000 MQM (both offers are now 10,000 MQM). Here are recent times we’ve seen the increased offer with the $100 statement credit: 1, 2. Trust me, wait for a better offer it will come.

So what’s the opinion on how long between bonuses to satisfy once per lifetime on DL cards? Its been 6 years for me. I applied and was approved. I hope if I spend the $3k immediately, I can find out fast enough to cancel and get $195 fee back if I do not receive the bonus.

Not that it matters a whole lot to most, but I’m actually seeing 10k MQM. I think Amex decided to change it after reading your post.

10k MQM if one signs up through a new referral link. Just received an email to refer others for 10k miles on personal plat through 11/7.

DoC, since I’m acting as your lawyer above, you gotta take me a little seriously /s
Anyway, you can check Amex and see.

yo doc, why have you stopped clearly saying if amex cards have lifetime language? what’s the point of these posts without that info?

yo, it seems your more sad than happy. DoC only needs to mention life language if it DOESN’T have it, okay.

I also did the Delta Biz Gold at 60K just because FOMO. Now I’m thinking this is worth snagging since I’ll be under 5/24 soon anyway and I can’t get another Sapphire bonus for 18 months.

got this one with $100 last year, met minimum spend and booked 5RT tickets from austin to NYC. Ticket price $2000, gives me two free baggage. couldn’t have used it better.
