Our Verdict
This card isn’t useful apart from the sign up bonus. This is the best bonus we’ve seen on this card, so it might be worth getting for some people as you can only get the sign up bonus on each American Express card once. That being said American Express is being more restrictive on bonuses in general, so it might not be worth triggering that for a bonus of only 25,000 points (although we still don’t really know how that works).

Anybody know when the 25k bonus points typically post?
I applied for this card last week incognito mode on Firefox. 25k for $1k in spend.
I haven’t had an Amex card ever. I see lot of offers related to AMEX cards so I am really tempted to get one. Which one is the best to start with considering the joining bonus as well as other benefits?
Probably EveryDay. You can get an offer for 25K. Search this site. Has no annual fee, decent cashback and offers 15 months of 0% APR + 0% balance transfer fee
To clarify: The idea here is to ‘load’ the card to the max with debt so you can get interest on the same money, however you have to have the discipline and pay it back before the promotional 0% APR period ends. Otherwise you will end up loosing money. In other words you have to be wise with your cash flow management and make sure you will have the money to pay it back (which can be a significant sum).
Thanks a lot for the detailed information and guidance.
You need to be aware this method will affect your utilization rate, a large part of your total credit score.
It’s best to start with Chase cards if you’re under 5/24. If you’re over 5/24, the comment above has some good info 🙂
^^^^^truth!! Start with chase first. Sapphire card.
2 questions, what is this edge that people are using to get offers? I am trying to get this card to park MR points since my AF is coming up soon on BRG and PRG. If I can’t get this offer to show up, any recomendations on the card to get that doesn’t have a huge annual fee
Microsoft Edge web browser.
Get the Everyday Card. No AF and it earns MR points. You can park them on an ED card.
For the first time edge helped to get an offer. So, I tried the ‘Unicorn’ offer for BCP 25k. Nope, not even edge could help.
Data Point: my son tried applying today and got told he wouldn’t get the bonus, so he didn’t complete the app. Since October he has gotten 3 Amex cards (blue cash preferred, delta gold and gold biz), spent for the bonus and then sockdrawered the cards
I’m now thinking many of us will be starting to see declines during applications if we haven’t been putting much spend on cards after getting bonus.
Got it on Chrome on first and second try. Im not going to apply. The offer page is https://www.americanexpress.com/us/credit-cards/card/green/?eep=25330. Not sure if anyone can use it but it never hurts to try.
This May be more worthwhile than you think of you consider all the upgrade offers they have which will not count as a new account for those trying to stay under 5/24. I recently downgraded to this card and within 2 months was offered 40,000 points to upgrade back to gold.
The terms state that the bonus may be clawed back if closed within a year, ie, not pay the fee. That makes it a lot less attractive – 25k points – $95. Unless one can get a good retention bonus of course, or cancel after one year and pro rate the fee back.
You cancel it after 12 months and 1 day?? No annual fee? First Amex card for you?
Actually yes. Got PRG and Delta and on a whim applied for Everyday and green. All within an hour.
Wow! Nice pick ups. Welcome to the club 🙂
That language isn’t really about people cancelling after a year. It’s a bout people cancelling within a few months generally on AF cards that aren’t waived first year to get the AF refunded and sign up bonus.
unless ur a seasoned professional, nobody should be apping for this card. ur just giving the algo more popup window data. i cant imagine the profile of all these commenters trying to get this. so u got everything else already? doubt it. SMH…
